Renters Reviews and Ratings
Not for night owls or those with allergies/asthma, overall meh
February 3, 2026Here's the breakdown from someone who lived here for 8+ years. POOL & PARKING: - Pool was closed most of, if not all of 2025 due to what was supposedly a broken filter turning the pool water green. - Snow policy is VERY strict. Vehicles will get towed if they aren't moved off property by 8am. - Multiple broken streetlamps for multiple weeks early in 2025 that were ultimately fixed. - Plenty of parking when all lots are open. HALLS + NOISE: - Well maintained with weekly cleaners. - If there's ...construction, then expect lots of plaster chips and debris in the halls. - Noise created by cleaners, renovations, and lawn care start as early as 8:30am. - Some buildings consistently smell, mostly unpleasant smells such as weed or cigarettes/cigars, but not always. - Just walking down the halls might trigger allergies or asthma if you don't rush or hold your breath. MANAGEMENT: - The longer you stay, the more you pay. After 5+ years in the same apartment, a 1 bedroom apartment might cost as much as or more than a recently renovated 2 bedroom apartment down the hall. - Additionally, management might spam you with emails and texts. I've personally experienced more than 20 in a 30 day period within 90 days of my lease renewal date. - If you request that they reduce the frequency of emails or texts, they will claim to have no control over when or how many emails they send you despite having full control if they just look in the settings. - Management are often quick to threaten legal action at the first sign of any alleged/obscure lease violation. - They can be slow to communicate person to person or get certain things that earn them less money (such as shortening a lease term), done. - They may claim to give you some documents, and that they have a record of such, yet you have never received anything. If you request the document, they might mark it as a 2nd or 3rd copy despite it being the first to actually reach you. - They're super nice when you're first moving in. MAINTENANCE: - Recently hired new staff who follow up and do what they say they will do in a timely manner, even during the holidays. - The more extreme the issue, the less they seem able to do about it unless you move out. GROUNDS: - Can't speak to playground or dog park. - Grass and trees is well kept, and look nice until you go behind the buildings where it's a bit wilder. - A nice short hiking trail through some woods behind a building. - Newly built central outdoor mailbox is rather inconvenient.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
FORMER TENET
May 8, 2018Run away as fast as you can. These apartments are a dump For what you pay in rent and fees, you could own your own home. The rent is always going up. And the maintenance gets worse every year. It's like a cult you think it's a nice place when you move in,but as time goes by you wonder where the "nice" went. It's loud. The walls are paper thin. The washers never work and the price per load keeps increasing. The office staff could care less about tenets as long as rent is payed. Lots of drugs ...around the complex. On the plus side you can have pets (@$50 /pet/mo.) And a pool. (Which you share with 3 other complexs) lots of hiking trails (watch out for the needles) and a dog park.( Watch out for steamy piles no one picks up) in my honest opinion don't bother with this place,it's not worth itRead MoreReview from Apartments.com
To be fair, I'm a cat person
August 8, 2015My family and I moved to Milford Trails Apartments because we were sick of the paper-thin walls and general sad state of the previous place we lived in. We had the extra few hundred dollars to improve our standard of living, so we did--teaching me that what you pay for (or rather, what you can afford) is exactly what you get when it comes to apartments. The walls here are thicker and maintenance is better. Inside, the apartments use low-end wood-like flooring that looks nice but doesn't hold ...up extremely well, and the paint peels, but the room sizes are decent and the spaces are very clean, so overall, I'm quite happy with the apartment itself. The laundry rooms and hallways could use more consistent attention, though. The place would be better--but also a couple hundred dollars more expensive, so I deal with this. On the other hand, I appreciate my little balcony and the beautiful landscaping that Milford Trails keeps up with. I love seeing the landscaping trucks every few weeks when the weather's right. I feel privileged to live somewhere where natural beauty is a priority. With these plusses and minuses, the tie breaker is the fact that it's one of the few apartment complexes around that allows dogs. It seems most people here have dogs (including my family), and sometimes, in the middle of the day, one dog will start barking from a balcony, inciting the other dogs to bark from their balconies too and beginning a cacophony of dogs barking that mingles with the yells of children playing. If I didn't live with family, this fact alone would have made me decide to move already. To be fair, though, I'm a cat person who doesn't want kids and works from home.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
2 bedrooms are large
July 29, 2015They have recently raised the rent again... an additional $10 charge for grounds maintenance now... the let you pay online but charge you around $30 more to use a credit card. Staff is nice but this is a very old complex that has never been upgraded.Review from Apartments.com
A tenant
July 20, 2015Milford Trail, the environment and location is great, parking is soso, and traffic is very poor….you will know what I mean when you come to view it….the appliances they provided are quite old (12-year-old microwave; 13-year-old refrigerator) makes the utility fee very high. The rental rate rises up every year, or extra fee. I personally have had very unhappy experience with the office manager.Review from Apartments.com
