Declining Conditions, Safety Concerns, and Poor Management

I’ve lived here for four years and have never been late on rent. I asked for a one-time courtesy waiver of a late fee and was told no due to “fair housing,” which the leasing agent couldn’t even explain. This is especially frustrating since management has offered to waive late fees in the past when I was between jobs even though I still paid ON TIME and IN FULL. repaint my ceiling after fixing a pipe months ago. The parking lot looks rundown most of the time, and trash is constantly scattered around the dumpster area and there is an excessive amount of stray cats and dog waste throughout the property, which is disgusting. To make matters worse, all of the apartments are carpeted, which feels unsanitary given the overall cleanliness issues. Safety has also become a serious concern. Shootings and car break-ins have increased significantly in this community, so be cautious if you’re considering moving here. On top of that, the leasing office allows neighbors to make complaints without any proof. Overall, the leasing office is unprofessional and shows no appreciation for long-term residents. I will not be renewing my lease. This was the final straw.
