Living at the apartment is okay, anything that malfunctions the workers will do their best to fix. However the administration does a substandard job 1. If you want your security deposit back, it took them 3 months after departing to tell me I owed them. 2. If you have a complaint about the administration, there is noone that won't stab you in the back. 3. My neighbor had his truck stolen from the grounds (and he kept his truck locked).

First of all, just a little bit about myself. I am a first time apartment owner, look at a lot of reviews, and try to give the most objective perspective as possible. My initial thoughts of the Montecristo apartments were that it was outstanding. I have been here for 6 months, and will be renewing my lease. The staff is responsive, the maintenance are friendly and competent, I feel safe here, and the price is great. The location is great, they have occasional events, like breakfast by the gate, ...
food trucks, Italian ice, and coffee. It is a quiet complex as well. I cannot think of any legitimate negatives that were not addressed by the staff. Perhaps, it is a older complex, my dishwasher wasn’t working, but it was replaced within a week. I wish there was a formal walkway route within the complex. And I wish my apartment complex was handicap accessible. Overall, I love the culture at this complex and quality. I recommend this apartment for friendly individuals and families!

I’m about to move and I still highly recommend. The dollar-to-square foot cost is unmatched for Stone Oak. Immediate access to 1604, minutes from 281 is already worth it. Maintenance and landscape is on point and no issues with pests. Sound hasn’t been an issue except for my upstairs neighbor’s heavy footsteps. Mostly families live here, so it’s pretty quiet, and the school bus even stops at our complex. The pool is awesome. I want to note that car “break ins” were rumored to be at vehicles left ...
unlocked. They have since set up security cameras and I live near the courtesy officer - yes, he exists and is SO aware of everything going on, it’s kind of intense. Residents (at least around me) are conscientious about noise levels, picking up after their dogs, and helping each other out. I got myself a carport, but scope out buildings with ample parking nearby.

A rash of weekend car burglaries-never addressed by management nor Francis Properties, a stolen mail box-never addressed by management nor Francis Properties. Yes the apartments themselves are nice but the management is lacking. Since I've been her (1year) they have already gone through a property manager. This was my first apartment and a month into living here,we encountered bed bugs. Never had bed bugs in my LIFE. We are near the trash which brings rodents out at night. They tried to pin the bed bugs on us but were unsuccessful. The apartments are very crowded and parking is not enforced so everyone and their friends park where ever. Our AC went out ...
and was putting out a burning smell after hours. We contacted the emergency line but we're told since its not 80 degrees outside, it's not an emergency. It seems they try to get people into the apartments but don't try to keep them to stay. These are the big problems we have had. It's been a terrible move out experience. The reviews are good but when you start talking to people that have loved here and other properties, you'll get an understanding of the many on going issues with the property management.

I moved here about 5 and a half years ago. I thought it would be a tough change, going from a house to an apartment, but I ended up loving it even more. Gorgeous pool, friendly staff, monthly community parties, beautiful amenities, 24/7. It is also in a great and convenient location right off 1604, less than a mile from Reagan High School, and next to a plaza with restaurants, a health care facility, and a delightful coffee place. Apartments are very comfortable with the amenities, makes it feel homey. Whenever you have a question or concern, staff is fast with answers or a remedy. Very proactive too. Washer/dryer connection, ceiling fans (of course ac/heat, dishwasher, etc.) Was the only apartment I felt at home in immediately when I was looking. Location is great too..close to major highways and attractions.
