Pictures are INACCURATE
January 10, 2023These pictures make me laugh. I have lived there for 2.5 years out of necessity. I don’t know which units they are portraying in these photos, but this is NOT what the units look like. Most of them have old, damaged cabinets, old appliances-maybe not even matching each other at all-, cheap peel and stick tiles in the kitchen and bathroom, textured walls painted with flat paint, cheap lighting fixtures that don’t match. Carpet should have been changed in my unit as it’s not installed correctly ...and the padding has bumps and dips because it’s broken down. Their maintenance is mediocre and in my experience has to be redone about 50% of the time, and their grounds are minimally maintained. Even their common areas and laundry spaces are dirty and only get “cleaned” every 6 weeks. The only reason I’m here is because I sold my house so fast I needed somewhere quick in the area and I have large dogs that other places wouldn’t take.Property Manager Responded

I want to remind you of the various upgraded floorplans we offer here in our community, so while you may not have the newest-looking appliances, there are floorplans available to achieve the look you want (flooring, fixtures, and other specifications are all modified in different packages.) Unfortunately, when our maintenance team isn't granted permission to enter in your absence, repairs do take more time. Regardless, we hate to think you struggled with frustrations in your home. "Pet Friendly" isn't all inclusive.
June 22, 2022If you have any caged exotic animals, such as amphibians or reptiles, look elsewhere. Because apparently this location is more than happy to let cats and dogs tear up their units, but doesn't want you to bring in what is essentially expensive furniture. Just Awful
June 4, 20220/10. Would not recommend. Management has gone to crap and the other residents are awful, some of the most snotty people I’ve met. It worked for me at the time but I’m so glad I’m not staying here. Only good thing is they are willing to work with you on your animals. Honestly it’s a bit overpriced too, it’s gone up a lot over the years.Property Manager Responded

Please don't live here
March 7, 2022In and around East Lansing, there are MANY other places to live. Please do yourself a favor and do not live here. We were lured in with the somewhat cheap rent, however our landlords have raised our rent every year we've lived here and have added on extra costs with each new lease as well. Any attempt to contact or negotiate a fair price is either ignored or responded to with a generic, copied email. Please live in a place that you would be happy to call home for more than a few months.Property Manager Responded

Bring Back the Once Great Nemoke Trails Apartment Complex
June 19, 2021Our family is beyond miserable living here now. We have been here five years and in the last handful of months, this place has downhill fast in several different ways. That makes me so sad to say. I am exhausted by all the issues of safety and danger. Yes, all that is in several written complaints, and nothing has changed or gotten better. We wouldn't sign again if I knew all this was ahead. Now we stuck unless we spend close to 2k of our money for money to break our lease. Please really ...reconsider leasing here. If you see by all the several one-star reviews, something is up with this place lately. Please bring back the awesome Nemoke Trails we once were proud to call home. I don't feel safe anymore here for our young daughter's safety especially. The buildings' hallways and laundry rooms are never cleaned inside anymore. This place is absolutely horrible.
May 28, 2021This place is absolutely horrible. I had lived here for several years and the apartments are old and falling apart. Every time maintenance comes they seem to cause another problem on top of the one they were trying to fix. If they even fix the first one. In the winter they barely plow the complex and the sideways. It is often very slippery and usually when they do plow the complex, they will plow you in to the point you have to shovel yourself out. The also shut the boilers off early and turn ...them on too late. They don't care how many people complain. The windows are super old so there is lots of drafts. They will also jack your rent up by quite a bit each year. Even though the price might be a little bit cheaper, it is DEFINITELY NOT worth it.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Cosy place to be
November 27, 2020Really love living here. The management is very friendly and helpful. The apartments are a little old, but in good condition and very cosy. My favorite thing is definitely all of the walking trails right behind my building, and just being tucked away in the woods in general is a nice place to be. The pool and gym are also really nice, and especially now that it's cold I like going to the hottub a lot.Property Manager Responded

Great for dogs!
November 26, 2020I have lived in Nemoke trails for 5 months and have liked it a lot. All the staff and residents are very friendly. I enjoy the dog park and all of the trails nearby. The apartments are older but are well maintained and when I did have a maintenance problem it was fixed quickly.Property Manager Responded

You should live here!
December 13, 2019Nemoke Trails is a fantastic place to live. The neighborhood is really quiet and the trails and parks are literally right in your backyard. There are lots of great amenities that are free to residents such as the pool, hot tub, sauna, gym and dog park. They recently got a key fob system which makes these safer to use at night, which I really appreciate. The staff are always looking for ways to improve resident's experiences. Maintenance is quick to answer service requests, and they actually fix ...the problem (not just tinkering around and saying thats as good as it gets). Dog Friendly - Good Neighborhood
June 20, 2019We've lived here for 3 years and we have a great view out our sliding door. As this is one of the select few dog-friendly complexes in the Lansing area, we are happy to have found this quiet, nature filled area within close proximity to all the Okemos businesses. Things they can improve: base flooring is broken underneath the carpet; dishwasher doesn't get the job done AND we've noticed our bill skyrocket on months when we've used it just 3 or 4 times; windows need updating (ice buildup in ...all windows because of poor sealing around and between windows). Perform inspections of jobs the contractors do (carpeting, painting...) before allowing tenants to move in. This will help hold contractors accountable!Property Manager Responded

Pest Control Issue
October 30, 2018I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone unless they want to get into the pest control business. Within a year time span, I have killed 12 mice in my apartment. In the beginning when I told them I thought I had a mouse problem, they offered to set traps, but didn't insist. If I didn't want them, they seemed to be fine with the issue continuing. They also told me since I was in a garden level apartment, I was at a higher risk which made it seem like I was just out of luck. ...Maintenance also has come and done work and left a mess both time without letting me know they would be back. If you enjoy hearing mice play at all hours, then this is the place for you.Property Manager Responded
