Mold and moisture
April 9, 2018I have lived here for 10 months, when I moved in on July everything was fine, now during winter time when we can't open any window because is cold outside there is so much moisture and mold in the apartment , we had few things which we had to throw away because it was damaged by mold, and electric bills are super high during winter timeReview from Apartments.com

Used to be great
August 17, 2015I've been living here for about 7 years. When I first moved in, the rooms were quiet (very little noise from neighbors) , the management was extremely friendly. Beyond friendly actually. The rent was relatively affordable. However within the past year there have been alot of changes. The got rid of the previous management. The made major renovations that seemed harmless at first, until I noticed that now I'm hearing everything from the neighbors now. The management went from caring to simply ..."courteous". I had mice in my apartment this past winter for the first time in 7 year. I thought maintenance was going to bring in an exterminator but they simply brought in mouse traps. We ended up getting rid of most of the nice ourselves. The maintenance is not as responsive as they used to be. I'm finding myself having to makes second requests for things to get done. And the rent is simply to high now. Maybe they did this on purpose to get rid of the old tenants so they can put in new people. Who knows? I just know I'll be leaving this year. August 14, 2015Great Area and geographical location. In a quiet section of outside of the booming town of West Chester. Located roughly 25 miles from the city of Philadelphia. Absolutely Wonderful
August 5, 2015I have been living here for over a year in the two person apartment suite, and I just signed up for another year at New Kent; and I will tell you why: The staff here is very friendly, and extremely efficient. Just the other day we had a minor repair that needed to be taken care of, so I called the office and BOOM it was done before I even got back from work. Also, our neighbors are extremely polite and we have never had a problem with them...probably because the walls are so thick you cannot here ...any noise from anyone outside the apartment. The Best Residence in West Chester, PA
August 1, 2015My family and I moved to New Kent a few months ago because I had to relocate for graduate shool. Over the past 90 days, the staff (office personnel, maintainence, groundskeepers, etc.) at New Kent has never faltered in exceeding my expectations. The ladies in the office are welcoming, organized, professional, and caring. The maintenance crew is respectful, well-trained, and hard-working (two of the men from the maintenance crew actually showed up to my apartment on a SATURDAY to fix an issue). ...Before moving in, the entire apartment had been completely renovated with modern finishings and new appliances (I believe all the apartments are being renovated). I am so happy with my decision to choose New Kent as my new home. Home away from home
July 29, 2015New Kent has provided me a safe and comfortable home away from home for the last three years. A quiet community with a good mix of families, couples, young & old. A comfortable apartment with good space for the area. My bedroom is quite large and has enough room to use as an office space as well. Nice to have an assigned parking spot for each apartment. Good amenities: really nice pool, decent fitness area, and a nice clubhouse. Office staff have been helpful and host a variety of tenant ...appreciation events throughout the year (lately we have had philly pretzel days, pizza by the pool, and a catered barbecue lunch outdoors, and always a holiday party in the winter too). New Kent Apartments
July 28, 2015My daughter and I moved here in January and it's beautiful. A new kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a wide open living room with TONS of space! It has two very big bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a shower and bathtub. The master bathroom has a new washer and dryer in it as well! We have our own front door and private indoor stairs leading up to the second floor where we live. We also have a sliding glass door that leads to our balcony and storage room! great place to live
July 24, 2015I was living out of state and had my daughter and son-in-law check out New Kent Apartments. They were quite impressed with the apt and the surrounding area. Although it was a bit beyond my intended price range, I decided to give it a try as I wanted to be closer to my family. The office personnel (particularly Anne) were very helpful in handling the application process etc. via emails and phone calls. I was quite impressed with their caring attitude. I am in a wheel chair and hence have ...special needs but Anne was able to accommodate my needs and maintenance helped to make the apartment handicapped accessible inside and out. I was concerned about being a bother but was told by head maintenance to never hesitate to call with any problems or concerns. The ladies in the office echoed the same sentiment and have never made me feel bad about contacting them. Maintenance is also very friendly, prompt and capable. Whenever there is a problem or concern (they have been few and far between in the last 1 and 1/2 years that I have lived here) maintenance has been right there and fixed the problem. I have rented from other places where maintenance did not appreciate having to come out and fix a problem and most times it wasn't done correctly but not here. They are professionals! Although I am extremely pleased with everything about New Kent especially the office personnel and the maintenance crew I wish the rent would not continually go up each year. I understand cost of living increases but I don't want it to get to the point where I have to move because I can no longer afford the rent.
