The apartment is nice, but the community has definitely gone downhill. The building hasn't had a working security system in months, and if you ask for an update you'll rarely get one. The HVAC goes on the fritz at least once a year, and this year it took them months to resolve the issue. If you need help, don't bother emailing them, you'll be unlikely to get a response. I emailed them about my curtains being inadequate years ago and was told they couldn't find replacements. Emailed them about ...

The front desk staff is lovely. We have been frustrated with the fob system being down for the last few months. It has left the main access gate next to our townhome permanently locked and has posed a large inconvenience to us daily by limiting access to our unit. It also leaves our garage open to public access. I have reached out to the leasing office multiple times without resolution or compensation.

Maintenance Is Terrible — Good Luck Getting Your Deposit Back

First, the maintenance in this building is awful. At one point my living room ceiling started leaking. I had to use two containers to keep the water from getting onto the carpet. I submitted an emergency request on a Friday (the day I discovered the leak), then left town for the weekend. When I returned on Sunday, the leak had worsened and there were multiple steady drips that required additional containers. I submitted another emergency repair request and asked them why they ignored it all ...
weekend. Their response was, “we left it alone because it seemed like it was getting better.” They only fixed the issue after I called the Fire Department to inspect the problem. On a different occasion, I requested maintenance for a clogged sink. During the “repair,” maintenance somehow caused a serious leak under the sink that ruined a lot of my personal property (makeup, band aids, etc.). The plumbing was then reassembled incorrectly, which required another maintenance visit. Maintenance also frequently marked repair requests as “complete” without performing any work. It also took *several* months and far too many follow up requests to replace my broken washing machine. When the replacement was finally installed, maintenance damaged drywall and stained the carpet while removing the old machine. They also damaged the bifold door so badly that it became unusable. In my bathroom, a towel bar was installed incorrectly and repeatedly fell off during normal use. I requested repairs roughly 20 times over the course of a year before it was finally secured properly. Second, they will not return your security deposits. I was told I would receive mine within six weeks after my lease ended, but it never arrived. When I called to follow up, management suddenly claimed they had mailed it two weeks earlier but could not provide a tracking number or any proof it had been sent. They also refused to provide contact information for the “corporate” office they claimed handled security deposits. I still haven’t received it. I absolutely do not recommend this building or any Greystar property.

They are constantly jacking up our rent and adding fees, while making it a worse place to live. Things are constantly breaking. The key fob system hasn't worked in weeks, so they just leave the doors unlocked. We got an email saying that there would be increased security; however, I have not seen any added security. Maintenence requests and questions to the leasing office often go unresolved for weeks with no communication. There was a literal fire in the courtyard up against the building and ...
maintence couldn't even be bothered to hose down the mulch to prevent the fire from spreading. They are constantly doing construction in the building, so in your apartment during the day, don't expect quiet if you work from home. After living here for a few years, I fully intend on moving out when my lease is up.

The amount you pay for rent is not worth the headache of Managment and the lack of empathy they present. The dog park had poop for weeks, they were not cooperative when we had issues moving out, it took weeks and weeks for Managment to get back to us without presenting any solutions

used to love living here until a horrid experience with the property managers. super unhelpful, had to file a claim in court to get my security deposit back to which their lawyer said was a “very simple solution.” after a whole lot of nonsense, i am getting my security deposit back finally, no thanks to NorthXNorthwest :)

Excellent place to live. Great management, maintenance, housekeeping and concierge staff. Grounds are maintained in excellent condition. You are close to Center City, but far enough away from the traffic. Close to several major museums and public transportation is easy to access.

I used to love living here, however the last few months have been rather disappointing and frustrating for a number of reasons. The major reason is due to the way the new management has decided to charge residents for water. Instead of paying for water per unit (a.k.a. you pay for how much YOU use), the building’s water use is divided evenly between units. This is extremely frustrating as it has caused an enormous increase in our water bill. I am now paying three times as much per month despite ...

The apartment was fine. But management is the real problem. They take days to weeks on end to answer simple emails, Maintance does a “quick fix” on issues rather than actually taking the time and make things better, the lease is not renter friendly and again Managment isn’t either.

Bike shed locked with fob key and additional pad lock so that bicyclists need to rely on lobby staff each time they want to access their personal or property. The bike shed is also littered with bird mess. Gates to townhomes have had broken springs on them for months, causing them to be left open daily. Exercise gym hot, humid, and without any music playing. Equipment often damaged or left in disrepair. Concerns relayed to staff repeatedly without successful intervention.
