Welcoming community with well maintained grounds
March 27, 2026I’ve lived at Northfield Townhouses in West Orange for about five months, and I could not be happier with my experience here. From the start, it has been clear that Tim and Jay take real pride in maintaining the property and supporting the residents. They consistently go above and beyond, and their hard work shows in how well kept, welcoming, and smoothly run the community is. One thing that really stood out to me was how they handled the major snow this winter. As a new resident, I was not sure ...what to expect from snow removal service at a townhouse community, but I was genuinely impressed. The plows were responsive, and Tim and Jay were out early making sure the property was safe and cared for. That level of consistency and attention means a lot. It is also part of what makes this such a nice place to live. The neighbors are friendly, the community feels warm and welcoming, and the property is clearly managed by people who care. Awesome place to live!

He is swift to respond to any needs. The property is well maintained. We moved out-of-state and still rent with Kriegman and Smith because they have great rental properties that are satisfactory. Great place to live!
January 5, 2022I lived here for just under 3 years, recently moved for work. I highly recommend Northfield Townhouses! Jay the property manager is always readily available and so quick to respond to any issues. He makes sure the property is always well maintained and there to take care of whatever is needed either in your home specifically or on the property such as snow removal or when you lock yourself out haha. He's super friendly and easy to get ahold of at anytime, which is a huge plus! I lived there as a ...single, young female and I felt super safe all the time. My neighbors were all nice and I rarely ever heard any noise from either side of my apartment. Being across from the reservoir and zoo is a big bonus too! Excellent Location + Grounds + Management
August 5, 2021My family and I moved here after closing on our home which had us scrambling but Jay, the Property Manager, was fantastic with our frequent and last minute changes. Jay had our unit meticulously cleaned from floor to ceiling. Our unit's front door viewed a beautifully landscaped courtyard and the walking path around the whole complex was incredibly relaxing and picturesque. The pool was a great bonus and has top notch lifeguards. The rooms are enormous and we even had our own small parking lot! ...You're literally right across from South Mountain Reservation/Turtle Back Zoo/and so much more - an absolute perfect location! I highly recommend this complex, we will miss the neighbors we now call friends, and, the property manager, Jay was so incredibly helpful and available at any time we needed him. Beautiful, Quiet and Safe
October 12, 2020I lived at Northfield Townhouses for over 8 years, only moved out to purchase our first home. I miss this place. The community is family friendly, the pool always well maintained and safe, the area is beautiful with the park right across the street and great for outdoor exercise. It was always quiet in the evenings and the walls did an excellent job of muting your next door neighbor. Jay and team do everything they can to make sure you are welcome and taken care of. Never had an issue that ...wasn’t taken care of immediately. They are always accommodating and friendly, we truly miss you guys and the rest of the Northfield Townhouses community. Good place
January 13, 2020Good place to live for professionals and couples with small children. Close to the reservoir walk route, a playground and the zoo. Also close to the ice arena and bus station stop to the city. Roomy, spacious living and property manager is easy to work with when an issue arises.
