July 26, 2024 - Review from Apartments.comThere is a new office staff / management weekly so clearly nobody knows what’s going on or how to do their job , the pool has actually been CLOSED for the last 2 summers and nobody is even out there working on it and there is no reason given for it , good luck getting anything fixed for at least 2 weeks when you call and leave a message / they don’t check those so apparently you need to email management

They are always on the property but can never seem to fix anything. -We have had several mice in our apartments, lots of critters in the walls and endless amount of earwigs. -There is a new property manager every month because this place is going downhill. -No one picks up their dog poop, they ...removed trashcans around the property so no one picks up their poop anymore. Dog park was cute for a week and now it just looks like a dump. -Pool has been closed for weeks with no update. Leasing office Lied About Unit
February 18, 2024 - Review from Apartments.comMy apartment was advertised to be a completely renovated unit with updated appliances (as it says on the website) and updated counter tops. The person on my apartment tour said that I would be getting the exact same unit as the one shown to me (which had all of the updated features). This was far from the truth. I have appliances nearly twice my age and cabinets and countertops clearly stained from cigarette usage. Besides that the apartment was nowhere close to ready when I moved in. The shower ...was had exposed tiles and a chipped soap holder that was sharp and extremely dangerous so I couldn't shower in my apartment for a week until they fixed it. Not only that but between numerous email exchanges with the leasing manager of the property promised to update with all my requests and here we are 3 months later. If you like to be lied to constantly then I highly recommend moving here.Read More

It takes months and multiple requests for a maintenance guy to visit your apartment. Leasing staff will note down your complaints and will assure you that maintenance guy will come tomorrow but forget about it. Nothing will happen and the you can keep following up. Laundry rooms are so untidy that it’s difficult to stay inside. No one cleans it and no air conditioning in the room. Electrical and plumbing issues are a major concern. Locks and doors are flimsy and it’s easy to have a break in. Most light switches and outlets don’t function and the poor air conditioning runs continuously trying to cool it below 80 degrees. Our electric bills are $300 a month consistently because of the A/C. We have requested service multiple times but they don’t answer ...any requests ever. It may appear as though it may be a safe place to live but the reality is it’s scary. Tenants throw garbage in the walk ways and use grills outside under the decks. The risk of fire is ever present from the grills and electricity. We have had plumbing burst open all over the carpet and maintenance left it for days to mold. This is not a typical Northville residence. It’s more like a welcoming place for incoming immigrants that break into cars and dump garbage outside their doors. The parking lot is riddled with abandoned cars that prevent residence from parking. If your single and you just need a place to store your stuff then it’s not bad. But if you have a family then it’s a nightmare.Read More

Absolutely no sound barrier between floors and you are forced to hear everything from your upstairs neighbors - their every step to screaming water pipes from showers - awful. High turnover with maintenance crew and management and it shows. No one seems to be in charge, it's just a scramble with tenants moving in and out quickly. The price is completely outrageous and overpriced for what you get. Will not be renewing this lease.Property Manager Responded

Great Place to Live
April 6, 2018 - Review from Apartments.comGreat experience living in Northville Woods. It's very reasonably priced for being in Northville. The location is great, just a 5 min drive down from everything anyone would need. The safe has been very friendly to both me and my dog. I really enjoyed having a natural wood fireplace in my apartment. I never thought I'd have something like that! Even with the new construction going up in the nearby neighborhood, it's still very quiet. I enjoyed having unlimited access to their gym. The ...equipment and machines were all kept in great condition. Anytime I had even the smallest issue with my apartment I was able to schedule maintenance online to come out. The staff has always been very friendly and welcoming anytime my dog and I come into the office. I would have easily renewed my lease if I hadn't purchased a home.Read More
The little things add up to a big "oh no"
January 6, 2018 - Review from Apartments.comThe only plus for Northville Woods is that the rent is low for Northville. But in exchange you get a "low rent" apartment. I've had more issues living here than anywhere else I've lived. I had to call maintenance more in the first couple of months of living here than in the entire time I lived in any other apartment, so much so that I just stopped calling and decided to just live with whatever didn't work properly unless there was no way to get around getting it fixed. The apartments are old and ...worn. They look ok with the "updates" but trust me its just lipstick on a pig. Some of the residents are questionable, playing loud music at 1am on a weekday and smoking recreational drugs on the balcony (which stinks up my entire apartment). I called the office about the safety of the chimney and making sure it was clean. They declined to clean it, which forced me to have to pay $200 to have it professionally cleaned myself - and yes it needed cleaning. The last time I called the office (1/6/18) the gentleman clearly couldn't care less about my issue and spoke to me as if I was being unreasonable to expect that the carport that I pay for would be for my sole use and protected accordingly. His tone was very much "get over it" when I told him that someone was once again in my space. To me, the office just wants to collect rent and do the bare minimum - like most apartments. There is no "above and beyond", and its clear that they prefer residents to just be quiet. I'll say this, I prefer to be quiet too. I have way to much to do to have to spend time on things that I pay to have taken care of - I shouldn't have to tell on-site management that there's bugs everywhere and they should do something about it, especially when they confirm that they see the bugs also. I'd rather not have to report that something (else) is broken/wasn't done or that a tenant is imposing on other tenants. The only reason that I rent vs. own is that I don't have the time or desire to keep up a house. But this low quality apartment living and nonchalant office staff has me ready to move on. I will give kudos to the maintenance staff who respond timely and professionally. Still, I would not recommend Northville Woods to any adult that just wants to live in peace (a don't bother me and I wont bother you type), because people like us are sure to be bothered here. I just hope I have the time to house hunt and move when my lease is up, because I would hate to have to renew...Read More
