1/5 stars — Unethical Practices & Unfair Charges at Move-Out
My experience with Nova at Trinity ended on a very disappointing note. I provided 45 days’ written notice before moving out, paid my final month’s rent in full, and vacated early — yet I was still charged over $1,200 in “insufficient notice” fees. Despite no valid basis for these charges, management insisted on enforcing them.
Even more concerning, I was asked to sign and return a blank move-out form, which they later filled in with ...
inflated fees. This practice is not only unethical but potentially illegal, especially when done without proper disclosure or agreement in writing. It felt like a blatant attempt to double-dip and exploit tenants during the move-out process.
Utilities also had to remain in my name through June 30, even though I was no longer living there — another example of how they make the process unnecessarily difficult.
Future residents, beware: document everything, don’t sign anything blank, and expect resistance if you ever choose to leave. I would never recommend Nova at Trinity based on how I was treated as a paying, responsible tenant.

I lived here for a year and was very disappointed. The apartment was old, with outdated plumbing, windows, and a constant damp smell. My patio was always dirty from lawn work, and the upstairs neighbor’s dog would go to the bathroom on their balcony — it would drip onto mine. I complained all year, but management did nothing. When I moved out, they even charged me for damages. Not worth the price — you can find much better for the same money.

I just moved in this past week. Great apartment and even better than I expected. I moved down from the northeast and the leasing office was extremely accommodating. They helped me with the move in process and getting acclimated to the area. The layout my apartment is perfect and the amenities are great!

Management is very nasty to deal with. They don't want to do anything that involves doing their job. My husband went in there to get some information about our lease because we are moving out and the person in charge just gave him one word answers and barely looked up from her solitaire game. They hire shady companies to come in a do maintence and they literally hand them the keys to your place, even if you ...

LOUD when they GET UP AT 4:00, 5:00 and 6:00 in the MORNING clunking around, then out to their cheap loud cars. (Nearly every 1-BR rented to creepy, teenager couples; 2-BR: Iffy couple w/ SCREAMING KIDS). LOUDER on weekends or DAILY when they get home mid-afternoon: nearly constant CAR HORNS, YELLING, ARGUING, SCREAMING THREATS TO "CUT YOU UP"! CHEAP FRIDGE SO ...
LOUD it drowns out phone or tv in the bedroom w/ door shut! Frequent LOUD REPAIRS with MACHINES POUNDING ALL DAY FOR WEEKS to cheap construction. DOGS POOP and PEE in every yard or patch of grass and ON/INTO YOUR SCREENED PORCH! Office staff smiles and lies to your face. What they claim is a "clubhouse with a business office" is really just the employee break room (no cookies unless they're trying to fool new renters) for the dirty janitors/ repairmen with nothing but an old computer the staff admit BROKE over TWO YEARS AGO! Add $80 EXTRA to listed rent to PAY for "trash, cable included."

I love where I live! It's the perfect one bedroom for me but not only that I'm just a simple 30 second walk from the dog park that we have here so whenever I have my moms pug, we know where to play! Management is great and any time I need something fixed, maintenance is on it without acting like I'm bother. I'm resigning my lease for a second year because if home is where the heart is, then I suppose my heart is here.
