Beware of this place!

I live here. Do not make the same mistake. The owners and management company are useless. There are many safety concerns that are not addressed. The police and fire department are here often. They negligently left the heat off in the abandoned apartments and pipes froze and caused major damage. We now live in a construction zone. There is a mass exodus of renters leaving. Just look at how few lights are on in the property at night. You will see that it is almost an abandoned building.

if you think of living at Ocean Gate, DON'T. it is unsafe building and for existing tenants it is uninhabitable.

I feel incredibly confident in my decision to move into Ocean Gate. The exceptional amenities, dedicated management and maintenance team, and the pristine, modern elegance of my unit make it an ideal place to call home. Walking distance to many nearby restaurants are also a plus.

Overpriced and management is awful

Didn’t tell us before we signed lease recently that amenities would be shut down for 3MONTHS. The amenities were why we rented here instead of less expensive apartments in Long Branch. Major leaks in the building have caused there to be many people in and out of my apartment for weeks now and w The walls aren’t even closed. People just show up with no notice though they have talked to management and maintenance. We have had to constantly go to management and ask about timeline to fix open ...
walls and ceiling instead of them being proactive. With as much as we pay in rent, they should be on top of this. No customer service at all.

The building was poorly built and poorly maintained. It’s falling apart. Many systems failing. No heat in the hallways. Exploding pipes. Broken gates. Unsecure premises. Total disaster.

Ocean Gate is under new management. Since the new management has taken over, the entire facility has gone down hill. I would not recommend this place until and unless thing change for the better.
