My Home Sweet Home
January 30, 2026I’m the OG of the OA!! But really Ocean Oaks has been my home since January 2018!! I was happy when I got here to get away from Orlando. I was taken back how many trees there were and more greenery I had compared to the super high rise buildings in Orlando. I love my apartment. Neighbors are very friendly. January 30, 2026Ocean Oaks is without a doubt the best apartment to live in. The neighbors here are amazing!! Very friendly and caring!!!!! Living here is so convenient to everything. We are very fortunate to have the very best personnel in our office. We have a wonderful crew working in the event a problem occurs. They are always right there !!!!! January 27, 2026Nice place to live The maintenance crew is the best, you can put a work ticket in, and within less than 24 hours they’ve fixed the item. Very prompt, nice and knowledgeable. The pool is nice- when it’s open. There seems to be a lot of community events, I don’t do them- not my jam. Overall a nice quiet place to live.Property Manager Responded

Electric Issues with Ocean Oaks
June 28, 2024This review has nothing to do with the maintenance, my apartment, or the office staff. I am doing this review because I was contacted from FPL (Floroda power & light) about a electric bill equalling over $600 dollars. And since December I've been paying an electric bill with my rent because it was in the property name for whatever reason. And now, FPL is trying to charge me the same amount of electric bills I paid from December 23 to May with my rent because they have no record of any electric ...account. And all Hawthorne residential partners wants to do is provide me with a credit on my account of what I did pay for 6 months to them instead of giving me a physical check. I'd prefer a check so I could cash it and give it directly to fpl instead of what HRP is doing. But I guess HRP feels its not their problem if FPL is charging me more than just the 6 months of electric service. Worst management
June 6, 2023Took me a little while to realize that the management here is a joke. Maintenance request take FOREVER and leasing office just makes it worst. Its almost like they are playing marco polo. Make sure you follow-up all communication with a phone call cause they either always lose it or have excuses as to why they havent gotten to you yet. Ive seen communities that are 5 times bigger and get things done within 24 hrs ESPECIALLY SERIOUS MATTERS!Property Manager Responded

Just no.
December 8, 2022Lived in my apartment for 2 years. When I received it, I had to clean the whole apartment. There was dirt/dust/paint all over the appliances. Fixtures in the bathroom were rusted. The vinyl floors had marks all over them. The carpet was just cleaned. Both floors were not replaced before I moved. At one point, they sent pressure washing outside and it flooded the apartment. The floors started lifting from that and form being old. I called maintenance and they sent someone to fix it. Instead of ...replacing the vinyl, they just glued the same one down. I just moved out and I received a 1400 bill from them stating that I am liable for the floor, that again, we’re already in poor condition to begin with. And also threatening to send my credit a notification. I have videos of the before and after. You can’t charge people for normal wear and tear, ocean oaks. I get you wanna upgrade your apartments, but do it on your money. Not mine. I’ll be fighting this oneProperty Manager Responded

Management is horrible
February 7, 2022This new Management is horrible, they never know anything, never reply to emails, never call back to follow up never answer the phone even though the place is empty. Declining
January 28, 2022Property is very old. The walls are so thin that I can hear everything outside and inside. Now I feel uncomfortable going into the office under the new management. People smoking so much weed you can get high just sitting on your porch. I were ear plugs so that I can sleep. I'm not going to be renewing my lease for these reasons.Review from Apartments.com
