light fixtures, and carpet. The mechanic and manager are incredibly nice, honest, and have responded to any inquiries immediately during office hours. Any maintenance issues (which were actually user error or I broke it) were resolved in a day. They're pet friendly, and oh.. a few blocks from Asilomar Beach! I only give it a 4/5 until the renovations are complete. There are also little details, like my light switches not actually being connected to an outlet, and the trash areas being.. trashed (probably by those grumpy old tenants with scathing reviews who hate change). The only other things I have to complain about are what come with apartment life anywhere. I thought I moved into a home for the almost-deaf with how loud the tenant above me and next to my bedroom listen to their televisions. Unfortunately, there isn't much management can do about that except getting into the walls to add audio attenuating substance (which would be welcomed). Those complaining that the manager sends out emails regarding the rules are the annoying tenants who make apartment life suck for everyone else by parking where they shouldn't, not picking up after their dogs, being loud, smoking where they shouldn't, being rude to other tenants and the manager, etc.
