October 19, 2023The state of the amenities at this apartment complex, including the gym, pool, pool bathrooms, and clubhouse, is consistently filthy, with unclean water and unpleasant odors. Upon moving in, the apartment itself was in a disgusting condition, with cat hair and litter on the carpet, a dirty toilet, and even clothes left in the washer and dryer. Despite the attractive pricing, I strongly advise against choosing this complex for your living arrangements.Property Manager Responded

October 4, 2022I have been here for over 3.5 years. I will be moving soon (out of Austin), but I’d like to advise newcomers or anyone examining the reviews that the overall management of this property has really gotten a lot better in the last year. For starters, Ocotillo has the best maintenance manager they have ever had, and just about the best I have seen – Erik. Erik gets things done, he will take care of what ever problem comes up maintenance wise. In addition, the lead office/property manager, Anita is ...far superior to the past managers (that usually only lasted less than 6 months). Anita has overseen some positive changes around here. Building walkways, and stairs are now power washed, common areas have been better maintained. The operation is running a lot better. I have substantial background in real estate management. I am an investigator for the Texas Real Estate Commission, so I have a deep understanding how these businesses operate. There have been substantial rent increases, as we are seeing all over Austin, so it is what it is. If can afford the rent, you’re going to have a good experience with the staff. December 1, 2021Where to begin… quality has really gone down. Pool was dirty all summer, clubhouse is neglected and smells. Amenities, opened earlier this year(were closed due to Covid), are terribly taken care of. Dog park gate has been broken and held together with zip ties for almost a year now, water faucet in the park has been dripping just as long. Parking is a nightmare. I’ve been here 2 years and it’s a different team managing the place, definitely gone downhill. They have a valet trash service that you ...pay for, whether you use it or not, but because of it, the breezeways in the buildings smell awful. July 25, 2020Ocotillo is a great option for you if you’re looking for a peaceful/secluded area, always helpful and sweet staff, and pet-friendly place to live. I’ve been here about a year and just re-signed for a second one. The manager here, Samantha is an absolute doll and has been a huge factor in my decision to re-sign. She’s helped me in more ways than I could ever list and honestly I’ve never gotten along with another property manager as well as I have with her. The pool is very nice and the fitness ...center, clubhouse areas, and overall landscape are always well-kept. There are some nice views outside the complex and the inside is updated with modern appliances and nice color schemes. I’ve really enjoyed living here and so has my pup. New Complex, Resort Style living
June 5, 2018This is a newer, well built apartment complex, in a perfect location. The amenities include a wonderful pool, meeting rooms, clubhouse and 24 hour fitness center..as well as a dog park. Very pet friendly. Management tries hard to please. We had been out of town for a few days and upon returning the A C had quit working, and within a few hours had a team of 3 getting it up and running. Very higher end modern appliances and design.
