October 25, 2021I moved in just over a year ago now, and it has been one of the best moves of my life. And I have lived in a lot of different places, renting and owning. ORO is a great value because even though I have my own washer and dryer and also my own heating and a/c, my power bill has been on average between 20-30% lower every single month. This just shows me how energy efficient the building is. The management AND maintenance is AWESOME! And, they have taken care of any need or concern I've had in a ...very short turn around. The cleaning of the building is great and the staff is always open to any feedback you might have to give.Property Manager Responded

May 10, 2021ORO continues to be a good place to live for me. They are handling outside events that are beyond their control by asking us all to take a stake in security. Which I think we all need to do as tenants anyway. But, they are actively working to correct anything that is wrong, needs to be fixed or cleaned, etc. All of my concerns are addressed right away and considering the state of downtown Portland (including The Pearl) over the past year, ORO does seem to be doing everything they can to help it ...be the nice place we all want it to be.Property Manager Responded

It's relatively new to The Pearl and I think will adjust over time, which is true for any new building. I think that the owners will listen to me if I say something. So, I feel good about that. April 2, 2021Moving into ORO was the best move I have made in probably 25 years. After owning several times, I just decided it did make more financial sense for me to rent. But, trying to find a good place to live with the amenities I wanted was nearly impossible. Then, by chance, using a new search engine to find apartments, ORO popped up. That is how I ended up here. I am grateful every day to myself and my friends who made this all possible. The building is clean almost completely to my standards (which ...are ridiculously high, by the way) and the professional cleaners come twice per week for all the common areas. They actually CLEAN, so after the weekends, which always brings more traffic into the building, and on Friday's the place, every common area, the lobby bathroom, the bike room and dog wash- everything is very well cleaned. This is one of main reasons I chose to live here. The other reason I love it here so much is that the staff has been phenomenal with helping me with anything to get settled. The parking structure works very well, and there are never problems with the matrix or with the door. There are conveniently located trash cans to handle doggie bags after walks, etc. And, the appliances are top end and they perform as such too. Neighbors have been great and the Property Managers, regardless of who it might be are wonderful. Special shout outs to Brittney and Jackie! Marcus is the on site service man and he is available to help you with anything. And he is super nice, too. I think the amenities are awesome and the system they use to pay rent on line works very well. The common area utilities seem reasonable based on a number of factors, but I know unit size has something to do with it. Sound proofing is really good too. It's affordable, clean and nice living. And easy access to any of the freeways and several different neighborhoods and downtown and the Pearl as well.Property Manager Responded

January 25, 2021I have lived here in the ORO building for over three months now. I have to say, it is, by far, the best home I've ever leased. I have owned many times in the past, and due to necessity and convenience, I decided to lease an apartment home again. The ORO has been an outstanding building in terms of the management, the communication and the maintenance. I have had maintainence completed in my home when I was present... and also when I was not home. Each job was perfect and not even a trace of ...anyone being there was left behind. The staff is extremely nice and seem genuinely happy to be there. All the other tenants I have met have been really nice, also. My apartment home has top of the line appliances and I LOVE them. The kitchen has inspired me to cook daily again. The bathrooms are huge, which is nice, too. I honestly do not think they skimped on anything in the engineering and building of The Oro. It is truly the best place I've ever leased to live in. I am very happy to have found a place that has everything I was looking for and many things I wanted, but did not think I would be able to get. I've been totally satisfied with everything. And, I also think the building has good safety and security as well. I know that is a big concern for a lot of people. And very rightly so. Having on site staff is also a game changer. The common areas are professionally cleaned twice a week, and they do a really good job. The elevator comes out looking great, and so does the mail and package area, the dog wash station and bike room- everything is kept up like I would keep my own home up. I think that is one of biggest reasons that I like it here so much. Everything they do, from communication to cleaning, managing things that arise and addressing COVID-19 concerns (including the cleaning I mentioned) has been really top of the game for this property. December 28, 2020I honestly think this has been the smoothest and most gentle transition process I've ever been through during a relocation to a new home. I've thought back about the purchases I've made in the past, and all the leases I've been in and the properties attached to each of them. I am very happy to be able to say that ORO Staff, On-Site Management, the Leasing Consultant, and mostly and most recently, the on site maintenance GURU, Junior, is the best. He has been wonderful and I am so glad he is here. ...Jackie, our on site manager, has been wonderful. ORO has been easy to work with, they have been very understanding of problems that arose (there are always things that pop up when moving into a new place...) and I really like the fact that the on-site management, when working with me to resolve a problem, has said things like: "I'll reach out to our owners and find a resolution." I have never heard that before in any place I've lived in. (With the exception of one home I rented directly from the owner.) I think that is one of the things I like the most. The fact that it's not some huge corporate housing outfit that was built to only make money. I do feel like the owners truly have their hearts into this business. I have never been able to say that before. So, that is really what I think drives ORO's success. The people who own the building really seem to care a lot about the quality of the building and how they can help make residents feel like they matter. I like that a lot.Property Manager Responded
