Missed the mark for me.
July 10, 2020Unfortunately, for me and my family, Owings Parks has failed to live up to the standards that merit the price of their units, so I will be terminating my lease. Shortly after signing my lease and moving into my unit there was a sudden change in management companies. With the change in management we lost the ability to review documents related to our lease online, as well as the ability to submit maintenance tickets online. I mention those two things because a few months back I needed a copy ...of my lease to register my son for school, however the leasing office was unable to provide those documents in a timely manner, resulting in me having to call their corporate office to get a response. There is no way to track maintenance orders, which is unfortunate since even the smallest of requests can take days to complete. I have found myself having to call the leasing office to confirm receipt of requests and track their status on several occasions. Valet trash and it’s $25 monthly fee were also implemented with the new management company. In theory, valet trash is a great idea, however, since valet trash only picks up one bag of trash,5-days a week, I still find myself taking trash to the dumpster on the daily basis. Over the past two-years, I have noticed cracks in the ceiling and both the water heater and a toilet in my unit have needed repairs/ replacement due to their old age. Same goes for the unit above me, their water heater also went up resulting in a leak in my garage. I reported the leak, but management never reached out to check on the damage caused to items in my garage as a result of the leak. As far as the neighborhood, it is quiet, however neighbors are not friendly and there tends to be dog poo in many of the grassy areas around the neighborhood, making it difficult to play outside with my young son. Also, my car was rummaged through on two occasions. After filing police reports and bringing the issue to the attention of the leasing office they simply suggested parking in my garage. Lastly, if you have little ones, you may opt for a ground level unit as the ceilings are not insulated very well. I hear all steps taken by the neighbors above me, and the neighbor below me has also mentioned that she can hear my son from time to time. For those reasons, I will not be renewing my lease. I had high hope when moving to Owings Park, unfortunately, Owings Park did not live up to my expectations.Property Manager Responded

Not Luxurious At All
April 16, 2019I have lived here for 2 years and the property management company has changed 3 times. The parking is horrible. My car has been towed due to a change in parking policy that was only communicated on the property website. When I got to the tow company there were 2 other neighbors there who also received no notification. I have complained twice about pet owners let their dogs run free with no leash and failing to clean up their pets' waste. I have a roof that is leaking and has not been repaired. ...When I first moved in I agreed to a 2 bedroom with a den. When a new property management company came in they determined that the den was a bedroom which increased my rent a large amount. Each property management company gets worse. November 16, 2018I’ve lived here for 6 months before the new management took over I loved it. Now that devane and Olivia are here I hate it. They take long to get back to via email. Olivia is never in the office and she the property manager . Devane doesn’t seem to ever know what’s going on. The installation is terrible you hear noisy neighbors , people walking and running down steps . Their are now roaches here in the apartments after the new valet trash they tried doing . Maintenance Takes forever and doesn’t ...really seem to fix things . I miss the old management for a luxury apartment they have really gone downhill. May 4, 2016I have lived here for a couple years and have had a few problems. The biggest concerns were a persistent drug odor that permeated into my apartment via shared hallway, my car being broken into and also being sideswiped without the other driver stopping. Then the management changed and with that came new leasing office staff. As a professional myself I would never speak to my clients the way they have spoken to me, and would be fired if I did. They are rude, condescending, raise their voice and ...completely disregard what you as a paying customer have to say. September 7, 2015Wow when I moved here a little over two years ago it was amazing, the rent was nicely priced the space is awesome the amenities is great outside of not having the best gym for residence; however, I was still pleasantly pleased. Unfortunately, for the past six months or so things have truly gone down. there are way more children and adults who just really doesn't seem to care about the property or the neighbors they are messy, loud, the halls are always dirty full of kids and toys. And to top it ...all off, the rent keeps fluctuating and you truly don't know what your rent is going to be from one month to the next since they changed vendors who send out the rental notices to the tenets each month. I've called several times to the leasing office and complained and the ladies are really lovely; however, they do more talking than doing. So although there is a small part of me want to stay here, Unfortunately, there's a bigger part of me who really wants to just pack up and leave, which is why, I am moving the end of September 2015. July 27, 2015Aside from a beautifully upgraded spacious apt. that is walking distance to a shopping mall and restaurants, it also offers a full size w/d. A fitness room, pool, dog park, and grilling area. The grounds are always well kept and the neighbors are very quiet. But what stands out the most is the excellent service and professionalism of the leasing staff including maintenance.
