DO NOT MOVE HERE, DISGUSTING PLACE RUDE STAFF
December 13, 2023This apartment complex is not safe. The gates leading into the complex are always broken. The staff says that they are waiting on the check from insurance and that has taken over six months on multiple occasions. In the time that I lived here, the gates only worked for a total of six months. This leads to anyone driving in the complex, and I have witnessed multiple people speeding through the parking lot at all times of the night. My dog and I have almost been hit by these people multiple times. ...My apartment also always smelled like cigarette smoke and weed from people smoking so much right outside my apartment and the AC units pulling the scent in. There is no consideration for neighbors, as you can smell weed at all times of the day. The walls are also extremely thin, and you can hear your neighbors above and next to you extremely easily. They have 20+ year old appliances, and the smoke detector will go off any time you attempt to cook. The lights are a safety hazard, one fell on my head while I was trying to change the bulb. The light in my laundry room never turned on, despite me putting in multiple requests for it to be replaced. The AC units are extremely old, and they just take parts from other units to try and fix it. There are many units that you can hear squeak and squeal and need to be replaced. My bills from the summer usually ranged from $200-$250+ a month due to the AC being old and not being able to handle the heat. The windows have moisture damage from a seal being broken, which also leads to higher bills. My carpet was not replaced when I moved in, despite what they tried to tell me. It was extremely dirty and was starting to tear pretty badly. When I asked about this, the apartment staff told me that they “don’t replace carpet when the unit is occupied” even though it was never replaced in the first place. The maintenance staff (all of one person) does not care how they fix something or how long that fix will last. The leak in my ceiling was patched, but never painted over and looked awful. I also had mold in my apartment. It covered the air vents and when I did an at home mold kit, they told me they do not honor it. The grounds of this complex are not upkept, despite what they try to tell you. Love it here!
January 5, 2023I am actually very happy here! There are some things that have to get updated, but there is new management that has been working on it. From all the years I've rented, I've never came across a PERFECT apartment. People are in and out. So, I'm realistic as to what to expect. The leasing people are very helpful, and maintenance team has been staying on top of everything. If anything comes up, they're quick to act on it. My apartment has no issues. I keep clean, which has kept bugs away. I've never ...seen any rats here. I haven't done pest control in minute, and it's been all good. Worst apartment and management
December 16, 2022Not only was the apartment not in the best condition for the area and price one is paying, but there is also rats there. They claim pest control will come by once a week, and charge you for the service, however I had to resort to taking measures into my own hands and break my lease because of the disgusting living conditions. Don’t be fooled!
May 17, 2021Does not live up to the quality and cleanliness you would expect for being in Stone Oak/Sonterra. Grounds are filthy, unkept, no grass anywhere and dog poop everywhere. Just walk around before you sign a lease! Don’t be fooled by the cheap rent. Appliances are so old a s outdated. Mtc issues constantly. Look at the buildings! They don’t match! LOL! Some are pink and some an ugly faded yellow. This property has potential but the owners do not keep it up. Go down the road and you will ...find newer and updated properties. RENTER BEWARE!!!
October 21, 2020This property is filthy, unkept, and OLD. If the property management company, Oxford Enterprises, had any interest at all in this property, this Stone Oak complex would have great potential. Unfortunately, property has been allowed to deteriorate on the outside including parking, pet areas and landscaping and in the interior including appliances, electrical and HVAC. The property does not live up to the Stone Oak reputation. Do not be fooled by what seems to be an affordable rent payment; you get ...what you pay for. Better places.
March 30, 2018I lived at Oxford for over four years. During that time the management changed frequently and most concerns were taken care of. However, after changing units I was unfortunate enough to have a resident who was not only rude but made a considerable amount of noise during the middle of the night. When brought to management attention I was told they contacted the person who denied it and I would need to document. I continued to document complaints and finally went to the police to file a complaint. ...Despite complaints and evidence of the noise, nothing was done after 9 months. December 14, 2016This apartment complex is amazing! It has easy access to 1604 and is close enough for me to walk to multiple shops and restaurants. Also, the office staff has been incredibly nice and helpful. The only maintenance issue I have had in the 2 years I have lived here (A/C) was solved the same day I reported it. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great complex at a good price.Review from Apartments.com
DON'T LEASE
November 11, 2015Run from this apartments new management is so rude you can't have a decent conversation with them and God bless you if you have a maintenance request it 'll be month before they come look at it all units and appliances are so old they have to fix it every month maintenance guys are rude and don't know what they 're doing they can't fix things in 1 go i have rented apt for 5 yrs will not stay a day longer ater my lease expires .Review from Apartments.com
