Great place to live and awesome staff!
December 15, 2024I have lived at Park Forest 3+ years now and have gotten to know the staff pretty well and I also enjoy my neighbors. The office staff are professional and yet genuinely caring and take the time to get to know residents and want the best for them; the maintenance are energetic, friendly, hardworking guys ready to tackle whatever task is thrown their way and to do as efficiently as possible. On top all that the location is excellent; grocery stores, movies, restaurants and a few bars all in ...walking distance, everything else is only minutes away a little closer into town. Yet being on the edge of town a quick walk across the road puts you at the Guilford Courthouse Military Park and the start of a seemingly inexhaustible series of walking, hiking, biking trails some of which can lead to a handful of lakes ranging from 2-7 miles away. Great place to stay!
December 13, 2024Have been here for 3+ years. The community is nice with a great mix of people. The best part about the place is the people in the office who are super helpful. Catherine is welcoming and a problem solver. I've never had a problem that wasn't fixed fast, within a day or two. It's very well located, off Battleground and 5 mts walk from Trader Joe. Close to UNCG. Get togethers organised by the office every few months. It's nice!Property Manager Responded

Old Units
January 8, 2021While the staff are very friendly and accountable, the units are old and outdated. Since moving in I have had to contact maintenance several times. Issues ranging from the toilet sinking into the subfloor, dryer not drying, AC not working (on my first night, beginning of August, 98degree weather), nobs falling off due to being stripped, Roaches (they call them water bugs), kitchen counters crumbling underneath, sliding screen doors falling off, doors needing to be re-weather stripped, and so much ...more. The unit I moved into was flipped entirely too fast resulting in very dirty features (light switches, baseboards, under counters, tops of blinds, etc.). Air vents were not properly cleaned after unit was occupied by a dog (of which I'm highly allergic too). I can hear every move made and word spoken by my down stairs neighbors. Smells of smoke & food fill my unit daily. Walls are incredibly thin. *BEWARE* Residents who accidentally park in a Reserved space will be booted and charged $140(cash)/$160(card) for removal!!!! This is the same fee visitors pay who park in resident parking if even for only a few minutes. I cannot speak to any of the club house amenities other than the pool as COVID restricted us from using. Grounds are kept nice and clean, however, due to the thin walls, you hear all the noise associated with any yard work or maintenance work being done.Property Manager Responded

While the apartments are adjacent to a fairly busy road, it is very quiet here. When I have a maintenance issue, it is solved within hours.
