Rats, roaches, no maintenance

When you visit look at the black box rat traps around building. When I complained about a roach I was told "well its worse in texas". I had complained about black mold. They didn't do anything about it for a year.

Ive been staying in park guilderland apartments for little more than 10 months now. The management here is outstanding. Any problems or issues in the apartments are dealt by the management professionally in a timely manner. Rents and other payments can all be done online which is very convenient. Enjoying my stay here!

Despite the outdoorsy setting and strip mall in walking distance, this place is nothing short of deplorable. STAY AWAY! TOTAL RIP OFF!

There is nothing good about this complex. The office staff is rude, never available and change their story every time you talk to them. I waited two months to get the air conditioner repaired in the middle of the summer. Moved in with old carpet that smelled, cracks in the wall of bathroom, dishwasher that did not work and bedroom window would not lock (first floor). After having enough and not renewing lease, I never received my $500 deposit back. They told me is was used to replace the carpet ...
and fix the issues the other issues that were there when I moved in. They threaten you very quickly with "attorney fees" and "lawsuit" as soon as you dispute charges or tell them you will move out if something isn't fixed in the apartment. The grounds around the complex are poorly maintained and snow removal can take several days after the snow ends. There are MANY other complexes in the Guilderland area that charge similar prices, offer amenities like pool and fitness center, office staff that don't lie to you and maintenance staff that will do their job.

I moved into this complex 15 months ago, and today is my last day there. When I moved in, I kept faith that the issues I had would get better. First, over a year ago, the woman who got me to sign the lease was apparently fired right after I signed it. She told me something completely different than what was reality- that I did not have to pay a security deposit, and that I could pay the rent on the first, when I was moving in just two days before. This thankfully wasn't a huge issue, but it was a ...
huge inconvenience being told this the day before I had to be out of my other apartment and into the new one. After that, we had trouble with our shower not working at all- and it took about a week for someone to fix it. We then had a problem with our sink not draining right after we moved in, and our dishwasher leaking (this stopped after the sink was fixed, so I assume it was a related issue). Since then, it has been fairly quiet except for they painted the hallway. They had a letter up stating to keep pets crated while you're not home. I kept my cat in a room for over two weeks while I was at work expecting work to be done- and it never was. Then when they DID paint, they painted over my door and it took me five minutes to try to open it since the paint had glued it shut. I had planned to move for a couple months, and filled out the forms to do so. They asked about a date they could come inspect the place before I left. I selected a date that was at the end of last month, took off work and everything. They never showed up, never heard from them again. That day I called the office multiple times, left a message, and never ever heard back from them once. They never showed and so I never got an inspection before I move out, so we'll see how that goes. I'm thankful for the lease to have ended, and to be going to a much nicer place. This was a ridiculous experience and I made a ton of excuses for them trying to make the best of it, but please don't settle for this place.

Poor living conditions

DO NOT RENT IN THIS COMPLEX!!! It's run down decrepit and dilapidated out side and hallways are only the beginning. Inside from no heat, to air conditioning, cracked paint leaky faucets and tubs and Sink's that don't drain. Are only the beginning of the nightmare u will endure. The maintenance crew are miserable and act like your bothering them when they have to do thier job,which may I add they never complete. The foundation and parkinggarage are falling apart. It'll get the job done .. Barely

Park guilderland seems like a place you'd sit back and relax. But unfortunately the quiet setting is the only real saving grace of this complex. Management and maintence are hard to contact and to expect a call back is asking just too much. They will from time to time fix something , but after plenty of complaining. The grounds is a big mess. The parking lot will destroy your car , there's a block of cement they call a "BBQ area", a car garage is imploding on itself , but they think just putting ...
some warning tape near it will make it all go away. The savings graces are the fact there's laundry in the rooms themselves. Overall unless you like a big mess, look elsewhere.
