I’ve had such a fantastic experience at Parkside Trace Apartments! I had been searching for a new place to live for a while and stumbled upon Parkside Trace on Google, and I’m so glad I did. The team has been incredibly responsive and helpful, and I’ve been loving my unit. My favorite things are the location and all the surrounding greenery. I recently moved from Louisville, and it’s been so much quieter here and a great place to settle down for a bit. I would highly recommend this property!

I have loved living at Parkside! The apartments are well-built, with nice finishes that make it feel modern. Maintenance is always on top of things — quick responses and everything gets fixed right the first time. It’s clean, quiet, and just easy to live here. Do your research before signing a lease here. My personal experience—and what I’ve seen echoed in many other reviews—was extremely disappointing. The complex was consistently dirty, management rarely responded to concerns, and we felt misled more than once. We’re now living in a much better community and couldn’t be happier.

This place is HORRIBLE. the carpet comes up if you vacuum/shampoo it, the walls peel, floors bubble, and i have even seen a mouse or two. the area is disgusting once you truly look due to neighbors dumping garbage and spoiled food in the backyard. You can hear everything upstairs and stomping frm the stairs above. The place is overpriced and rent has skyrocketed.

Great place and very quiet

I just moved in a couple days ago and the office employees have been very helpful and communicate very well with everything. This is a great place to live with an amazing living space and very clean. I have enjoyed my short time here so far and plan on enjoying the pool once it opens up. Overall, great experience so far and I would recommend for others looking for a place to live in Charlestown.

Not a Good Place to Live

First of all, these apartments are overpriced for what you get. The apartments are in desperate need of maintenance and repair. It takes months for maintenance to even address issues that you have and even then maintenance does not fix the problems properly. They also allow aggressive dogs to be here. Any complaint we have had has not been taken seriously and the management here, Cathy and Marsha, look the other way. It took them 3 months to lay rock down that had been sitting in an ...

unsightly pile outside. There is a lot of trash on the private road leading to the apartments that nothing is ever done about. You can hear anything and everything from the upstairs neighbors as well, and the parking situation is horrible. Don't expect to park near your apartment. The model apartment looks so nice and neat but do not be fooled because once you get your apartment it will not be that way at all. Our apartment had paint peeling off the walls, shelves that were bent, flooring that was bubbling and coming up, a concrete patio that severely slopes, broken blinds, stove burners that did not work, and broken air vents just to name a few. The apartment is too pricey for what you get, especially considering nothing is ever done or repaired here.

I've been living at Parkside Trace Apartments for almost two years now. I absolutely love it!!! It's a very quiet & peaceful environment - the complex sits back off from Hwy 62 & borders the Charlestown State Park. The complex is well maintained during all seasons & weather. You can easily get exercise by walking within the complex area or cross Hwy 62 & use the sidewalks within the city. You have the benefits of being close to the Big City activities while enjoying the laid back small town ...

atmosphere. I enjoy having a centralized trash compacting system instead of using multiple dumpsters. The complex is well lit at night & I have not noticed any issues with theft or vandalism. The staff is always super friendly & helpful. Since they live in the area, they can provide assistance in determining who to use for a wide varieity of services. I live in a 2 BR upstairs apartment & feel that the monthly rent is a good value for my money. I had looked at 3-4 other locations before finding this one. I just wish I would have come here first :) Michael Scott
