Great for the price!
September 24, 2015This apartment right next to Humboldt Park is extremely affordable for Chicago. At over 500 dollars a month less than any other place of comparable quality it was a great find. Recently renovated the only issue I have with the unit itself is that the floor is a bit slanted and bows out in a few spots where support beams are located. Otherwise the bathroom is nice, the kitchen is nice, the hardwood floors look nice, and the track lighting throughout the place gives it a bright and modern ...appearance. The washer / dryer is in the basement of the building and rather expensive but there are a ton of laundry mats nearby. Moving into the building was a bit of a pain as the hallways are tight and the rear staircase has awkward angles that made it a back breaking and difficult experience. The neighbors have all been friendly and noise between units is relatively minimal even with musicians living directly above me. The neighborhood has a bad reputation but I have lived here for almost 2 years without issue. It seems like the majority of issues that happen near here are either in the park or a 4-5 blocks south but nothing has happened on this street as it dead ends on both sides one into a alley and the other into the park itself discouraging through traffic and pedestrians. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good deal while still living within bus distance of downtown.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on scale of 1 (below average) and to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider needs as part of the school selection process.
