The pool they claim to have has not been functional since 2020, the gym is outdated and in disrepair, office staff is unhelpful with renters issues, and the neighborhood is a bad area, do not waste your money or time here.

My roommate and I moved into a 2nd floor apartment here in 2020 and there were red flags flying even before moving in. The original apartment we had rented flooded two days before we moved in. The apartment manager transferred us to a slightly smaller rental, but didn't adjust the price. We never had any problems with our neighbors. Yes, the walls are thin, but have you ever heard of an apartment without thin walls?
When it was time for us to renew the lease in 2021, there were multiple issues ...
with the property manager signing their half of the lease. It took roughly a month for the signatures to be completed and we were charged a fine since our lease "wasn't completed." The office staff was constantly rotating and it felt like no one was ever fully trained, though they now have a different company managing the property, so maybe that's changed.
The appliances are very old, the stove and dishwasher were easily 35 years old.
The parking lot provided the biggest challenge due to the pot holes and the poorly-fixed pot holes, so make sure your car's suspension is in top shape.
When we had finally had enough of this neglect and disrespect, we were sent the incorrect paperwork for filing our move-out notice and we were not made aware of this until a few days before the deadline.
This is just the tip of the iceberg regarding our experience at Prairie View. You will not be getting your money's worth if you rent here and will leave feeling jaded and swindled.

Disappointed park, pool, gym?

Simply put the amenities and prices are not represented accurately. The park is not there. It's a sand pit where a playground use to be and 1 apocalyptic swing that seems like it came off the set of terminator 2 judgemnt day no other parks in walking distance. To top that off I asked Dave "what happen to your park" with a serious look he said "what do you mean what happen to our park" I'm like ITS NOT THERE. Then he had the guts to act surprised. Now on to the pool. They have been "working on it ...
for 2+ years now. I could or dug a new one with a soup spoon by now. It's not getting fixed and I doubt they are going to. Let's move on to the gym. Weights layed about equipment twisted around It's a mess. The hours are useless if you work a day job with the gym only open from 8-5. Maintenance work request and slow to respond. It's been over 3 months with our issue and have not heard anything from any one. Lastly price. It's already a bit pricey for the apartments in the area but on top of rent you are charged extra for pet, water, and forced internet witch can total over a extra 100 to 150. In short the apartments are liveable, but not for the price. I staff have a bit of a attitude before hearing you out. In conclusion the lack of honesty and transparency is what does it for me. Don't advertise a beautiful park, pool and community if it's not true any more. The price of rent should be reflected with the added amenities in witch you have no choice in getting. They should lower rent and treat you better if they have no intention giving you what your paying for.

The two pools on this property have been out of commission since 2020. The outdoor pool is currently growing cattails. Management is slow to respond to problems or questions. They will take advantage of you if you do not pay attention to the charges on your account. They will try to charge you late fees when your payment is not late and month-to-month fees after you have already signed your lease. The community is great, however. All of the neighbors are friendly and helpful.

If I could give 0 stars I would. They couldn’t even tell us if we had the apartment for sure but still gave a move in date and told us to come that day ready to move in. Then when that day came and we had the truck we were told it was not ready for us for another week.(and this was after we signed the lease and everything) Leaving us without a place a a full uhaul. Throughout my military career I’ve traveled quite a bit. High-end to the barracks, I’ve never felt like I had a place to call home. Finally, this is the place! It’s veteran owned and operated, you can’t beat the amenities, all of the staff, my lovely neighbors, and the tightly knit community. It’s cozy, respectful, and peaceful.

I agree the apartments were great until they got a new management a they don't care ab you unless u pay and trust me if your a day late on rent even if you were never late before they are ready to evict and make numerous threats to take you to court they don't care if you have kids as long as they get there money and forget about your deposit unless of course you plan on leaving they apartment super clean after living there for over 3 years and especially one of the ladies in the office named ...

Spacious apartment, except the kitchen, but I can get over that. The area is nice and quiet. My only complaint is it takes several days to get some questions answered. I'm not sure if other people asked those questions before. This was a bit inconvenient. Overall, my experience has been great!

With my amazing vaulted ceilings, balcony and walk-in closets it's hard to beat. We get a dog run, basketball courts, a park, and a gym membership included in rent, I have a garage, 2 bed 2 bath, and again HUGE closets.
Rooms are perfect size, and the breakfast bar is my favorite of the kitchen/dining area. You can always get ahold of a maintenance man to help out anything you need.
The only negatives of this apartment I've had thus far, is the lack of counter space (which isn't the worst ...
I've had just love to cook and would prefer more.) and the front door gets broken occasionally from people ripping it open and needs to get fixed quite often to latch and stay locked for people to get into the building.
