Master key left unattended in apartment door for hours after apartment inspection.

Please Reconsider if thinking about moving to Phillips Landing!!!!!! Me and my boyfriend have been living in Phillips Landing apartment complex for almost a year now. There are many negatives I can give about this complex but nothing takes the cake like on Wednesday 11/20/19. Every 3 months or so they do an inspection on every apartment. I had never heard of such a thing except for if you lived in Government housing but I guess this is a policy of theirs. My boyfriend and I arrived home around 8p ...
and like normal I proceed to reach for my key to get into the apartment and we both realize that the master key from maintenance had been left in the door and who knows for how long at least 4 hours at the minimum. That automatically made me freeze up. I said to my boyfriend “I know maintenance couldn’t still be doing inspections this late especially if it’s after hours.” I’m now sure how many hours in total had went by since the inspection had been done or who had seen the keys just hanging in the door. They’ve been doing a lot of work around the complex lately with different contractors working in the area day in and out and it’s always a good amount of traffic in the complex. You can never say you know someone’s complete intentions or what they will do seeing something like that. I’m not sure if this has happened before but this is one too many and it is careless and anything could’ve happened. No one wants to come home and see something like that and at this point everting is going through our mind. An apartment complex master key in the wrong hands is a scary thought. As maintenance of an apartment complex keys is your every day tool needed for your job that should’ve been the first thing checked for upon exiting any and every apartment Please reconsider moving here.

Quiet, peaceful neighborhood with wonderful staff. If ever an issue maintenance was quick to resolve it!! Office staff were always friendly and helpful! Location was great as it was close to everything, but with a country feel. Always felt safe. Would highly recommend these apartments.

The few times we have had issues, he comes as soon as possible and makes sure everything is perfect before he leaves. The office staff is amazing. Kathy and Amy treat us like family. I moved into this apartment community after the death of my husband. I was a single mom with a daughter and i wanted to make sure where we moved was safe and family oriented. This was in 2010 and i have lived here since that time and been very happy. The management are helpful and understanding and the maintenance man replies promptly when things need to be fixed. Interstate 77. I had alway lived in a country and rural setting and had not rented for many years. The transition from a homeowner with few neighbors to an apartment with many neighbors was not as difficult as I imagined because of the friendly and kind people I have met. We love the pool in the summer and the nice walking areas too.
