Best Apartment Experience I've Had
May 22, 2025First - be aware older reviews were based on a previous management company. The current experience as of 5/2025 is AMAZING. I just moved in, but even based on just that, I am blown away in a positive way. The office staff has been nothing but friendly and helpful. The whole process was smooth and seamless which took away all my stress. I've lived in 8 different complexes over the last 24 years and this has been beyond my expectations in every single way. The property is clean and ...well-maintained. My unit was spotless upon move-in and everything functioned perfectly. It is literally the most beautiful apartment I've ever had in my life and I could not be happier. I love that the community is mature, quiet, and also hosts tons of events for residents to show their appreciation and foster the neighborhood. Although I have yet to experience the community over time, I can say that first impressions really speak for a lot. You can FEEL the difference even when you simply begin your search to request information. 10/10 from me.Property Manager Responded

August 31, 2023My family and I moved to Florida just over a year ago and found Pickwick Flats. It had everything we were looking for. No stairs (thankfully with no neighbors up/down from us), 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms, washer/dryer in unit, dishwasher, and very clean property. We love the apartment life team and all the events that they have. They really put a lot of time and effort into making these events special. Paradise!
February 24, 2023I visited the office and met with Jennifer. She showed me the property and I loved the hammock garden. The apartments are huge and very private. Location is everything!
September 3, 2022I recently moved to Jacksonville for a job in the medical field. Downtown living isn’t for me. To much traffic and chaos. Pickwick offers me a short commute and I have everything I need within a few minutes of the community. Target, Starbucks, restaurants and there is even a drive through car wash at the end of the street. Access to the community gym 24 hours a day is really helpful with my crazy work schedule.Property Manager Responded

I love living here!
August 30, 2022I have been here many years (9), I have watched so called entitled people come in to the office with disregard for me sitting there and talk to the staff as if they were beneath them, the ladies in the office handle it so professional . I feel as if I should apologize for the way they were treated. These are probably the people moving and leaving bad reviews . I say good riddance ! I love the events here , I love the new landscaping it looks so clean and fresh, I love the gym so much I cancelled ...my membership at the local place down the road and I don't have to drive there. I can't wait for cooler weather to enjoy a good book in a hammock ( the heat is not for me ). Oh let's not forget the food drives for the community, back to school event for the kids that live here ! Good family values and giving to the community is not something you see at every apartment complex. The apartments are one floor so it’s like having a house except you don’t have to fix things or mow the lawn lol I’m shocked to see the negative reviews about management. DO NOT RENT HERE!!
August 26, 2022New mgt company and staff are TERRIBLE. Long time residents are being treated horribly, office staff is never in the office, they do not return phone calls unless you want info of new rentals. Rental rates have skyrocketed making it impossible for families to stay. They harass you or threaten you with eviction and intentionally ignore your requests if you have complained. Trust me, everyone is complaining. The so called "renovations" are band aids covering long term issues around the property. ...What once was a family community is now and a sterile, unfriendly, unprofessional depressing place to live. Don't let them fool you. They put on their best show for newcomers only.Property Manager Responded

We greatly value our residents and are so thankful that even though pricing in our area has increased, the large majority of our residents are choosing to stay with us at Pickwick Flats year after year. We have enlisted the services of the Apartment Life organization to host events based on resident request in order to uphold the sense of community that has been established for many years. We are working hard to maintain our prompt response system during what is our busiest season of the year.
