June 11, 2026 - Review from Apartments.comI am a renter from kre management and recently had damage from a storm. I cannot express the level of gratitude to their team. The property manager Pat was so friendly, considerate of my remote work and was being very proactive along with the workers that came down and cut the fallen tree branch. The electric company k r a n t z that this management company uses is also very professional, quick and even worked in the rain to get my AC unit up and running. As a person that has had long years in ...service sharing how amazing the team was and how appreciative I am is a renter is not very usual these days. June 3, 2026 - Review from Apartments.comI had to spend $50 rewashing laundry after my storage unit flooded, a number of expensive electronics and sentimental items were damaged… and I was never compensated for it. They didn’t even respond to my emails. Renter’s insurance doesn’t cover external water damage like that either! The washers and dryers are overpriced and barely work. Found that out the hard way. They were dishonest about the flooding issues, and also misled me about the air conditioning, claiming it would cool the entire ...apartment when it didn’t. The buildings smell strongly of ammonia and mold… it’s definitely not a good environment for anyone that needs clean indoor air. KRE management is terrible. They scheduled apartment showings at extremely inconvenient times that didn’t work with my sleep schedule, which led me to spend $450 on last-minute hotel stays which I wasn’t compensated for. Communication is awful and getting a timely response (unless it affects them) is nearly impossible. I would strongly recommend staying away from this place if you have a chronic illness… it’s not worth the stress or potential health issues. The walls are also very thin, so you can hear absolutely everything. This is not a good place for those who work first, second, or third shift especially if you need sleep… it’s really loud. They allow cigarette smoking and cats, so the hallways smell pretty bad. When they “fix” things, they do it as cheaply as possible.Read More

The buildings are older but have been well maintained. The grounds are also regularly tended to. There’s even storage here for kayaks and paddle boards. Communication from management regarding parking updates, etc is strong. The island is surprisingly quiet for how close it is to main roads. I love the wildlife present here as well. I almost forget I’m in such ...a convenient location it’s so peaceful. No plans to leave this place!Read More

The location is unbeatable—being on a small island gives it a peaceful, vacation-like vibe, and the updated boardwalk is such a nice touch. I love that I can drop my paddleboard in and enjoy the water whenever I want. The landscaping is always well-maintained, making the entire community look beautiful year-round. The wildlife with the water and the quiet neighborhood brings a crane every year, I call him ...Old Blue. Maintenance is top-notch; they’re prompt, professional, and always take care of any requests quickly. The staff is friendly and helpful, making sure residents feel at home. It’s a gem in the middle of Madison, I feel lucky to have found it! Many long term residents and I always feel safe. I’ve never had more responsive maintenance. You can tell it’s family owned, they care about you and the property.

They said they havnt allowed smoking in three years but there were a few older residents grandfathered in. I ended up seeing two one bedrooms and a studio. All of them except one were updated with new flooring and fresh paint and remodeled bathrooms. I was extremely impressed by the leasing agents knowledge and kindness. I ended up signing a lease and moving in. I’ve been here four months and I just can’t say ...enough good things! I have never heard a single neighbor and every time I’ve called for maintenance, this older guy who lives on the island comes over and fixes whatever I need usually that day. Everyone is so nice, I just love it here. I almost don’t even want to write this review because I don’t want more people to find out about my secret spot!!Read More

The price is excellent for the area as well, heat included in low rent price. Old fashioned management is OK, outdoor space is in general disrepair. The not so great things include: smoking is allowed indoors so the whole place kinda smells like cigarettes, the units haven't been updated in while (maybe never), fairly thin walls and ceilings (if you know what I mean). Great place to have your ...grill and kayak on your porch, even your boat tied to the boardwalk for extra. I can put up with the faint to medium scent of cigarette smoke for the low price and location.Read More
