They charge asinine amounts in damages upon moving out no matter how long you spend cleaning
March 13, 2023We were really excited to move in because it looked to nice but there were a few things really wrong when we moved in like the dishwasher didn't work, the door of the fridge was broken, the washing machine couldn't run a full load, and shelves in the kitchen were missing. We also found nails all throughout the apartment hidden in the carpet for months after we moved in. They said the tenant before us left it in a mess and they would fix it as soon as possible. It ended up taking them 5 months to ...finish fixing these issues. Everyone is required to put down a non-refundable $600 cleaning fee but then when we moved out, they charged us $426 for damages that we didn't do. They charged us to replace dirty drip pans on the stove when we bought brand new ones the day before leaving, charged us for broken blinds when the blinds were the same as when we moved in, charged us for extra carpet cleaning even tho when we moved in they said the non-refundable $600 would cover carpet cleaning when we moved out. We also rented a carpet cleaner from Lowe's and cleaned the entire apartment with it before moving. In total they charged us $1,026 in damages when we spent an entire day cleaning before we left. They said there's no way to fight these charges. Honestly, very predatory and gross behavior. Don't rent from them.Property Manager Responded
