March 10, 2026As a resident of the years I have come to the conclusion that Person Peak is a place of danger, filth, and excuses that ultimately pose a risk to the health and safety of the residents. The crime rate (both violent and property) in the area where Preston Peak is located is high and management makes little effort to mitigate this. The automated gates have been malfunctioning for years allowing any and all to enter as they please. Gates were recently fixed however there are signs of tampering and ...the lower gates are frequently left open on weekend nights. I have been a victim of theft both at my unit and in my vehicle. My friend was robbed at gunpoint and had his car stolen in a string of armed robberies that occurred at Preston Peak within the span of a couple weeks. Management assured me that these incidents would be mitigated once the gates were fixed, however the gates are frequently left open, and the robbers were kicking in boards in the fence to get into the property rather than using the gates themselves. The area where the robberies occurred is almost pitch black at night as there is minimal lighting in that back corner of the property. I have been told by the office staff that there are plans to install adequate lighting in the back parking lot however I have seen nothing to indicate these lights are being installed and have not heard from management on the subject since. Upon reporting these incidents to the office staff they showed little to no concern; I would label their reactions performative at best. With every incident I report I ask if they will be notifying the residents and the response is always no, saying they, "don't want to cause a panic." This was especially concerning regarding the robberies as only one of them was reported to the residents while there were three that actually occurred (that I know of after talking to SAPD). Studies indicate that as awareness and education increase, crime itself decreases. I find it appalling that management would refuse to notify or educate residents in order to avoid panicking. It seems they are merely trying to avoid reporting these incidents due to their overall frequency. The office staff continues to assure me that there is a security guard that patrols at night to watch over the property. As I do frequently arrive on the premises at night I generally do not notice a security guard, and when I do he's usually parked in a corner seemingly preoccupied by his phone. December 29, 2025I have been at Preston Peak for 10 years now. I love it here and it is definitely the place. I call home. As an apartment renter neighbors come and go, however, it seems like I’ve been very fortunate to have wonderful people coming and going in my building. I wouldn’t change anything about the property. The place I call home!!!
November 24, 2025I have been living at Preston Peak for 10 years now. When the new property team took over three years ago, things changed for the better. It has been by far the best three years ever. All of the staff are kind, greet you with a smile, always there to assist in anyway, and take care of any needs whether be administrative, grounds related or maintenance. I feel like they are all extended family. I love it here and would recommend this property to friends, family, coworkers and even strangers. The ...neighbors are friendly, I feel safe and this is the place I call home. The property manager, Victoria, and all the remaining office staff, Monique, Liuva, Hayden and Gabrael always make me feel welcome and are there to answer any and all questions that I may have. The maintenance staff from the supervisor Justin, and all the rest of the staff, Sam, Mr. Hernandez, Blaze, Carlos, Josh, Vince, and Richard are always there at a moments notice to take care of all of my maintenance needs. Great Place to Live
November 23, 2025The property is supported by a caring group of employees - Management and Office staff to the Maintenance staff. Amenities include: clubhouse, exercise room, two pools, tennis court, package lockers, assigned carport parking, and a dog "park". One of the features for which the property should be congratulated is scheduled clubhouse events. The events lead to improved "neighbor" relations similar to single-family living. This most recent staff and maintenance team since Greystar took over have been so incredible I wouldn’t change anything with any of the staff.
