Extremely Disappointed – Severe Maintenance and Management Failures

My experience since moving into Prose Avalon Pointe on July 27th has been deeply frustrating. Upon move-in, the central AC was entirely non-functional and remained down for 9 days, finally being resolved on August 4th. Because this is a two-bedroom apartment, the single portable unit provided by management was entirely inadequate for the space. When I purchased a second unit to keep the apartment habitable in the Florida heat, management refused reimbursement under the rationale that I "should ...
have asked" for a second unit—despite no prior communication regarding their emergency procedures.
Furthermore, the onsite property manager is new (with less than two months on the property as per what I was told) and lacked the authority to approve basic resolutions, necessitating escalation. I first reached out to the regional property manager via email on July 30th regarding these expenses, the resulting high utility bills, and persistent outages with the mandatory community Wi-Fi and cable services.
Unfortunately, communication from regional management has been nonexistent, and I have been completely ghosted from the beginning. A luxury price tag should come with functional amenities and basic accountability. Prospective residents should look elsewhere until management takes tenant concerns seriously.
