Very nice place to live, but the management company is a mess
July 14, 2021The apartments are nicely designed and laid out, very nice finishes in the kitchen and bathrooms, nice appliances in the kitchen, beautiful hardwood floors, great windows, etc. The community is unexpectedly quiet, especially given the great location near shopping, restaurants and transportation. The other tenants were polite and friendly but also private and respectful. Beware the management company - and get everything in writing from them at least twice, even if it's in your lease!Review from Apartments.com
STAY AWAY - Overpriced and Underperforming Management
May 10, 2021Would you like to hear birds crawling around and constantly chirping above your bathroom exhaust fan? Then by all means live here. Apartment management hasn’t addressed the issue after months of complaining. I’m sure they’ll give some general apology and pledge to do better after reading this, but won’t actually resolve the issue in any satisfying way. The zoning is terrible; highway noise is LOUD regardless of where your apartment is located, the surrounding neighborhoods are beat down and ...the roads are always shutdown for some unknown construction. Bad choice of a location to put an apartment complex that had potential to be good. HUGE pot smell in the lobby and elevators so if you’re not 420 friendly, best to avoid. January 30, 2021This is a quiet neighbourhood with retail amenities close by BUT for the price is not so luxurious. The building is seemingly poorly kept and the structure was seemingly not done properly. There are a few cracks in the walls due to it not being plastered properly, which does not look good cosmetically. The price charged for assigned parking when there is limited space is unjust along with the fact that a few months ago, the parking outside of the building was "ticket free" but even you are a ...guest you have to pay for parking which is like parking in NYC. Management does not get to the root of problems in the apartments such as leaks or cracks. At the end of the day, this is just a regular apartment not luxurious.Property Manager Responded

June 6, 2019Quite frankly, many of my friends and some family members would say that they could not afford to live at Queens Gate even if they were on the first floor facing EAST. I have shown them the floor plans of the smaller apartments which I think are lovely. I think that when they see my 4th Floor Carlton with its vaulted ceilings and beautiful view, they feel these apartments are out of reach for them. I am blessed in that I sold a fairly expensive townhouse which has given me the means to live here ...along with a pension and investments. I'm also used to having more space to live in whereas some of my friends would be happy with a much smaller apartment.
