Excellent community!
May 27, 2021The location is perfect because it is in the middle of hospital, schools and malls. The property is a bit old but they would make things new for you, like the carpet, appliances and would allow specific changes according to your request. What I love most with them was the staff were all courteous and helpful. Feel very safe and gates are always working. The location is convenient and near the park, schools, and downtown area. I have a great view from my apartment and neighbors are very respectful. December 6, 2018I've lived in apartments off and on since 1961 and this complex has the best maintenance response times I've experienced. All levels of management have been responsive in a very timely manner to any needs I've had over my years (10) here. The 'campus' is also well taken care of with preventative maintenance always in action. My one complaint: The complex water bill is apportioned to tenants according to apartment size and number of tenants therein. July 31, 2017Aside from nearly *everything* breaking down at some point over the year we lived here (dishwasher, air conditioner, toilet, lights, garbage disposal, machines in shared laundry room), there is this dandy: Pet deposit of $1000 for two cats was required, $400 of that was *supposed* to be refundable. Apparently, if you have pets they automatically deduct an extra $250 to clean the carpet when you leave... what? *What is that non-refundable $600 going towards?* Obviously, they just consider it ...free money. Crooks. Here's some basic math for you people: if $400 of a pet deposit is "refundable" but everyone with pets has to pay $250 extra when they move out... $150 is *actually* refundable, not more. Liars. We spent five hours scrubbing down that dump just to have them steal our money. It was so obviously a scam -- we had to call them to get an itemized deposit report to explain why our return check was so low. Upon doing that, we also saw that they charged us another $50 for the stove that we left cleaner than when we moved in, and billed us for an entire last month of water when we were there only 11 days. Outrageous. Also, on one occasion, they tried to charge us a late fee for our water bill -- when we had not even received the bill until the day after it was due *and we had informed the office that this was the case the day before*. Do not move here, do not recommend that anyone move here. It might seem like an okay deal with the rent market as hot as it is in Lake Jackson, but unless you enjoy broken-down appliances and apartment staff constantly trying to shaft you, it is not worth it.
