September 4, 2025 - Review from Apartments.comI would like to thank Lawrence for greatly satisfying the issue that I was having with the toilet. Lawrence arrived with his supervisor, assessed the issue and proceeded to changed out the old toilet. As always, Lawrence was very informative, neat, friendly and professional. Renaissance Hill at Ellicott City was a terrible place to live.
July 7, 2025 - Review from Apartments.comI would advise caution when considering Renaissance Hill at Ellicott City. During my lease, I encountered a few challenges that impacted my experience. We dealt with a rat issue, ongoing bathroom leaks, and monthly backups in the kitchen sink. This was particularly concerning as I was pregnant at the time, which made it a stressful living situation. My husband and I often had to address these issues ourselves, as maintenance responses were inconsistent, and it felt like management was not fully ...engaged with our concerns. Upon moving out, I was surprised to find that they charged me an additional month’s rent for not providing 60 days' notice. Furthermore, they are now attempting to charge me for drywall and carpet damage that was not present when I left. I even hired a professional to patch the walls, and the condition of the carpet was excellent at the time of my departure. It seems that there may be some areas for improvement in their communication and handling of move-out situations. If you decide to explore this option, it might be helpful to be very clear about expectations and documentation throughout your lease. Consider checking other options as well to ensure a positive living experience.Read More

Outlets not working, shelves installed improperly, a gap between the dishwasher and an uninsulated wall so cold air comes into the kitchen, etc. Maintenance team is woefully unprofessional and certainly operates below the level you expect when paying for a 'luxury' apartment. As a great example of the customer service one can expect, the office closed early on 11/23/2022. While totally ...reasonable for the upcoming holiday, the office notified all residents that the office was due to close at 2:00 PM that day in an email sent out at 1:59 PM. They also sold the contact information of all residents to a commercial company called "flex" who try to dupe residents into taking on credit-based rent payments. Lastly, the apartment complex is taking on significant financial risk by renovating multiple apartments simultaneously while capital is expensive in the US. Prospective tenants should have significant negotiating power as I doubt they can leave apartments vacant that long. If I did it again, I wouldn't agree to pay more than 90% of the current advertised rents.Read More

And the cycle continues. Iam facing issue with the washer dryer, although it's provided in the apt, it has issues. Iam getting laundry done outside by paying extra money.

Cable lines to various apartments were cut during renovation but management is reluctant to accept responsibility. The money, they want for cookie cutter apartments that were once old is too much. Apartments aren’t fixed they appear to be more attractive but not high quality.

November 11, 2022 - Review from Apartments.comI am in this community for quite a few years but from the time the property moved to the renaissance hills the service , maintenance, outside cleaning, waste management , everything changed drastically. They are also changing the landscape to be more gorgeous. I am loving every day of my stay here with my family. I would give a five star review to this property. Also the pool side view is beautiful.The management team is outstanding.

Either pay the ridiculous increase in rent for an un-updated unit or get out. Gentrification at its finest. I love living here for now, but fear being priced out when my lease ends. I should not live in fear simply because some landlords decided they wanted to make a profit off of peoples lives.
