December 16, 2025 - Review from Apartments.comI had to move to New Iberia for work. Rented this place sight unseen. 1st time ever renting so I didn't realize I picked a handicap accessible apartment. Colin and the staff were very friendly and very helpful during my 4 mths living there. I had a few issues they were tended to immediately. Place was quiet. By far the nicest in New Iberia to rent from. I enjoyed my little 1 bed room it was roomy. If I return to New Iberia to work I will definitely be returning to Squirrel Run.

December 7, 2023 - Review from Apartments.comhas not designated parking so you might end up having to park far away from your apartment, which is not fun during bad weather or you have groceries. Also some parts of the parking area will result in your vehicle full of bird droppings just by parking overnight. It is a gated community, but pretty much anyone that wants can get in and there has been theft from vehicles. Property is not as child friendly as you would think there is a little play area but thats it. Pool area has become more kids ...unfriendly.Read More

The playground is good for 2-4 year olds. There isn’t enough parking—you’re better off renting a house for what they charge here.

April 4, 2018 - Review from Apartments.comThe apartments i've rented at this place were decent, the employees are friendly. However, the first unit i rented was a 2 bedroom with 2 bath, one on each bedroom. So if you had a guest, he or she would have to go into a bedroom to use the bathroom. Got my car broken into once, but there was nothing there for them to take anyways. People don't pick up after their pets, so there is dog poop everywhere. The amount of pages on the contact is almost as much as buying a house. The first unit I rented ...for 6 months, and ended up paying for 8 months because i was not aware they required a 2 month notice prier to leave. The 2nd unit I only needed for 2 months, but had to rent for 3 because that is the least amount they would rented for. I however specified that i only needed it for that amount of time. I did not get a copy of my contract and when i left, I received a letter stating that i did not give a 2 month notice because they did not have it in writing, and have to again, pay for 2 months of rent that am not using. Moral of the story, the system is design to benefit them in every way. So read the full contract, ask for a copy of it, and make sure you put your leaving notice in writing, have them sign it, and get a copy for yourself.Read More

September 26, 2017 - Review from Apartments.comRecently moved out, but resided there for 2 years. Apartments were, by far, the nicest in New Iberia. I had no major issues while living there. The office and maintenance staff are friendly. Pricing was fair. Pool and grill area was well-maintained. The only real negative thing to comment on is that some pet owners wouldn't pick up after their pets.
Confusing information
February 2, 2014 - Review from Apartments.comWe visited in person and by phone several times. Each time we were given different information regarding availability and pricing, even though the visits were all within a 3 day window. Pricing on website was much lower than quoted and we were told they would not honor website pricing. Each sales person gave conflicting information and seemed clueless as to what others had told us.
