My experience at 961 Ridgeley Pl (Retreat at Broad River) was terrible. The property is dirty and unsafe—trash everywhere, broken glass, overflowing dumpsters, and a constant smell of weed. The building door doesn’t lock, hallways are filthy, and my apartment had major issues: a broken front door, strong chemical and marijuana odors, insects (including baby spiders), mold smells, slow drains, damaged doors, and shaking ceilings when the upstairs tenant walked. Outside, there’s an undisclosed ...

body of water with no safety barrier, exposed AC wiring, deteriorating siding, broken fencing with rusted nails, and loose dogs roaming the area. My children became sick during the two weeks we lived there. Management has been unprofessional and unresponsive. The property manager gave conflicting payoff amounts, discussed my account with someone not on the lease, and dismissed my concerns by saying I “got what I got.” Calls to the office go unanswered. This was the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. I do not recommend this property to anyone.

We just went to view an apartment here, it’s really run down. Bathroom was extremely rundown the stove looked like it hadn’t been cleaned and the fan blades were warped from moisture. It smelled very damp like it may have water damage someplace. Looks nothing like the pictures in the add the walls were dark grey almost black. I don’t recommend even looking at this place.

After being out here for quite sometime, I would have to say the quality of the area ava serviceactually declined over time. Hard to get any repairs done let alone trying to get anyone out to do repairs. Managerment is pretty quick and grabby for rent (which is paid on time), but is very slow to do what they're paid to do: manage.

The property recently changed names and management, although it was for the good which is rare. My apartment is very pretty with new hardwood floors, appliances and countertops. They have a new playground that my sons love, and the bus stop is right at the entrance of the property. Always have a parking spot when I come home from work, close to all of the local eats and shopping.

New management took over a week ago and I can always see changes in our community. Upgrading exterior lightening, their corporate team coming out and taking action right away on problem areas of our community, I'm excited to see what changes they make. My apartment is large, with spacious rooms, really cool large closets, and hardwood floors. They area itself has a lot of trees, great location and we always have a parking spot. Definately will be renew my lease under the new upgrade packages.

This is a great area to live. You're located minutes away from Columbiana Mall as well as other shopping stores. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. The office ladies are very kind and are willing to help you in any way that they can.
