    My experience with Retreat at Kedron Village was extremely frustrating, mainly due to unreliable management team, poor maintenance practices, slow management responses, and serious communication issues. One of the biggest concerns was unauthorized entry by maintenance staff. After an AC/heat filter swap, I was asked whether I wanted maintenance to come back the next day to check the system. I clearly said no, there was no reason for it. The next morning, maintenance created its own request while ...
    I was at work, entered my apartment without my approval, stayed for about 20 minutes, then closed the request. That is unacceptable and made me feel like resident privacy was not being respected. Another serious issue involved an electrical fire from my maintenance closet on a Sunday. Smoke was coming from the locked closet and filling the apartment, yet it took roughly two hours before staff responded. In a situation where there may be an electrical fire behind a locked door, there should be urgency, not delay. If residents do not have access to locked utility closets, staff should be readily available to respond immediately in emergencies. On top of that, basic amenities were not consistently maintained. The power washing station was broken for about four straight months and had recurring issues multiple times. The only reason for this was slow procurement by management staff and poor preparation for upcoming temperatures in the teens in February. These ongoing problems reflect a lack of urgency, preparation, and follow-through from management. Overall, my experience was terrible. Management was slow to respond when help was actually needed, while maintenance access and communication were handled poorly. I would strongly caution current and future residents to document every maintenance issue, save all communication, and request everything in writing. In my opinion this staff is not here to help you, only collect your money and do the bare minimum they're required to.

    My wife and I are loving it here. It’s not to far from the airport or any retail stores. The neighborhood is also surprisingly quiet for being in a city. They also have Amazon lockers that make sure your mail isn't stolen, this MASSIVE. My last apartment I had my mail tossed around a mail room or stolen.

    Maintenance requests with the retreat at Kedron have a month plus lead before being corrected. In my 5 months here I have put in maintenance requests for all three complex’s grills not lighting, community car wash hose leaking to the point it was unusable, and my units air conditioning. June 21st I put in a request for my unit being unable to cool. About a week later they replaced the thermostat and recharged freon on the heat pump. That fixed the cooling issue but, now my unit squeals constantly ...
    like a loud high pitch dog whistle keeping me up at night. This has gone on since July 4th and is still present. Complex maintenance has attempted to fix this 4 times with no success. I recommended to the community manager to hire an HVAC company to fix this and she did not entertain the idea. I asked to speak to a supervisor as I cannot take the sleep deprivations any longer and since there has been no further efforts to fix problem. The phone number of a supervisor provided goes straight to voicemail. Meanwhile my home still has a loud high pitch whistle that keeps me up all night with no signs of being fixed anytime soon.

    The Retreat at Kedron has been more than a pleasant experience since day 1. Even though we had a few minor maintenance issues upon moving in, management stepped up and dealt with each situation almost instantaneously. The rental rate is reasonable in comparison to the location in the city with local schools being among some of the top in the state.
