Roaches Everywhere
May 9, 2026Moving here has been one of the biggest stressors and nightmares. There were roaches in my unit when I moved in. It has been so uncomfortable living here. I find the cockroaches everywhere—dishes, oven, microwave, my room. I’m constantly having to clean dishes before using them, I’m always watching where I step out of fear of stepping on a cockroach. I’ve also found cockroaches all over my things from clothes to chairs and computers. It’s embarrassing to have friends or family over. Everyday ...before work, I have to empty my backpack to make sure I am not taking a cockroach to work and spreading this. I would not recommend moving here.Property Manager Responded

January 14, 2026My experience living here has been disappointing overall. Communication from management is limited and often delayed, which makes it difficult to feel supported when issues arise. A lack of on-site presence adds to that challenge. Maintenance concerns have been recurring, and responses are not always timely or consistent. Over time, this creates frustration and uncertainty for residents. Safety has also been an ongoing concern. The building and surrounding area do not feel consistently ...monitored, and it’s hard to feel fully at ease in the community. Many of these concerns seem to reflect experiences shared by other residents as well. Poor Management
December 8, 2025Living at Essex Reveal has been one of the most disappointing experiences I've ever had in an apartment community. The entire property feels completely neglected. The building is constantly being accessed by homeless individuals who freely use the amenities -- gym, bathrooms, showers -- with zero oversight or intervention. It doesn't feel secure at all, and management seems to do nothing about it. My motorcycle was almost stolen in the parking garage, and even after reporting it, I received no ...real response or concern from the office. They act like these problems don't exist. Emails go ignored, and when you do get a reply, it's dismissive and unhelpful. The ONLY positive thing I can say is that the maintenance team is great. They actually care and respond quickly. Unfortunately, good maintenance doesn't make up for feeling unsafe where you live. For the price they charge, I expected way better. Worst Management
July 27, 2024If I could give them zero stars, I would. I have lived here for the past three years, and they're getting worse yearly. They have over 40 units available, yet they lack response to their own tenants and wonder why no one stays. do not waste your money here. Buildings are always dirty and smell, and the parking structure is the same. They purposely don't respond to you when your year lease is up, so automatically, your lease goes up the highest. There is a huge pest problem that they can't get ...done. The balconies look like storages. Some tenants let their dogs pee on their balconies, which results in a bad smell and all sorts of things. And did I mention their management yet? They are very disrespectful and do not care about your emails, calls, and any of the tenant's needs. Management could use enlightenment
October 11, 2021Nice apartments yeah most places are where the issue lies is that the leasing office assumed I am lying about this situation. The last management gave me a single parking pass that I immediately displayed on my dash. Come to find out that there is two separate passes needed for my car and they want to tow mine out of my own apartment building. I was only given one, yet because a piece of paper says other wise they want to charge me for the previous managements mistakes. Essex Property - Great place to live
August 4, 2020Pros: The maintenance team was great & friendly, there is an online portal where you can submit tickets and when ever we had a problem it was dealt with in a timely manner. There is a gated parking garage at no additional charge and a security guard that roams it at night. We have had no issues with theft/break ins personally. Neighbors are nice, mostly quiet. There are food trucks outside once a week which is a nice treat. The pool/gym and other amenities are maintained and nice. The interior ...of the apartments are great, high ceilings, nice appliances and kitchens. Cons: Neighbors leaving their trash in the trash room instead of putting it down the chute. Not a big deal, just annoying when you go into the trash room. The dog park area smells like dog pee. The block we are in is very nice and feels safe but you are on the border of Canoga Park so it's not as nice once you leave the area. By no means dangerous though, just homeless around. Not satisfied at all
May 4, 2020I was not satisfied at all after the five months living in a reveal apartment. When i was moving out I had cleaned up the whole unit,and i had even washed the carpet like the first day that I moved in and took photos of it.Having said that, i didn’t receive my deposit completely and they even charged me for a cleaning fee! i had also paid 1 months rent for moving out earlier as a penalty. WORST PLACE TO LIVE!
April 5, 2018DO NOT MOVE HERE. THEY TAKE ALL OF YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT WITH NO DAMAGE DONE TO ANYTHING. they don’t tell you but carpet and paint has a 5 year life span. The worst property in the work! No kidding
January 11, 2018Worst part is management team. Trying to speak with one of them since 15 days ago and everytime the reception keep telling me someone call me soon!! Soon is more than 15 days. The property is dirty, always smell trash at corridors and once a week you hear fire alarm which is very very laod! If you moved in, forget about your downpayment, they will charge you very more when you moved out less than 5 years because of remaining life time of paint and carpet!
