Unprofessional Management, Inadequate Communication, and Arbitrary Enforcement Policies

My experience at Ridge at Blue Hills has been consistently disappointing due to persistent management issues, poor communication, and disorganized operations. From the beginning, the leasing process was needlessly complicated. After submitting our deposit and agreeing to the lease terms, it took several weeks to receive the final lease. During that time, we were passed between multiple individuals—none of whom took ownership of the process. We were given shifting points of contact, many of whom ...
would stop responding without explanation. This pattern of frequent staff turnover and inconsistent communication has continued throughout our tenancy. Most recently, on June 25th at 2:10 PM, management sent a same-day notice stating that all parking stickers must now be affixed to the front windshield only, and that any vehicles not in compliance would be subject to immediate towing—as early as that night. This gave residents less than four hours to act, with the leasing office closing at 6:00 PM and no after-hours assistance available. My sticker had been on my rear window—clearly visible and compliant by prior standards. I immediately responded to the email expressing concern that there was no realistic opportunity to replace the sticker that day. I received no acknowledgment or assurance, only silence. This lack of responsiveness, combined with the sudden and inflexible enforcement of a new policy, is unacceptable. Residents should not be expected to operate under a system where vital information is communicated at the last minute, with the threat of punitive action and no clear means of recourse. This approach demonstrates a troubling disregard for resident experience and basic fairness. For the rent charged at Ridge at Blue Hills, residents should expect competent, stable, and responsive management. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. I would not recommend this complex to prospective tenants.

Don't be fooled

They charge much more than the value of what you get here. Apartments are large and spacious but poorly built and maintained. Can hear neighbors on all sides, walls and floors are paper thin. Not the best group of people living here - always smells like marijuana, people yell at you, steal things. We even got an email about someone breaking into cars one time. Would not recommend.

Units can have more or less noise depending on the location. Noise is sometimes something that cannot be completely eliminated when it comes to apartment living. Pros and cons

Pros - nice pool, gym, indoor fireplace, gym and office area. Cons - apartments are not painted and are dirty. Did not have a working dryer in my apartment for 5 months and it took me 2-3 hours to dry clothes. Did not have heat for a week and mold grew in which they just painted over the mold. Apartments smell bad. I would go to an Avalon if you're looking for a place.

It's kinda quiet but loud during traffic hours. This place is pricey and cheaply made. Counter tops are lament, windows are very drafty, wood flooring is cheap quality of paint does chip. It is posted gas heat but it is not, more like the hot water heater is gas and that is connected to the furnace. So it's always high water bill. Winter months high gas, electric, and water. Playground is not nice at all. Grass areas are wet all the time because of the swamp. Moldy even if you clean all the time ...
moldy. The windows are moldy, the toilet, and sink faucets has big black stuff come out of it. Dog owns don't clean up after their dogs. It looks nice but there are some problems. And prices go up every year.

Very Convenient

A nice place to live, very convenient to major highways. Management and maintenance staff very responsive. Rental increases when you renew are high.(approx 10%) I doesn't make sense that the rent is lower for a new person that one who has lived there for years.

Not that bad to live within the complex. It's a beautiful place. I love my apartment but it is a little bit too pricy. The staff are professional and nice and they try to resolve problems as fast as they can. I love the area because it is quiet. Not a bad area to live.
