We’ve lived here for 2 years and needed a 2 bedroom with our daughter now being 1 we had to find somewhere else as we’re not fans of Middletown. But as for ridge field apartments I don’t have any complaints. Cheryl in the office was wonderful and maintenance was always excellent and fixed things quickly . A lot of the bad reviews are about the neighbors but no matter where you live you’re going to have a few bad apples that’s just how the world is. We had issues with domestic stuff above us but ...
after the 3rd complaint and call to police they were asked to move out. I would recommend living here it’s been a very pleasant experience!!!!

Maintenance does bare minimum and will just walk in whenever they please. The lady in the office is rude and gossips about tenants. Building is falling apart rarely cleaned. Lawn mowers shoot rocks at cars in parking lot. I could go on just stay away

Comfortable and Safe Place to Live

I moved here in October of 2020 and don’t really have anything bad to say about the whole complex. Cheryl was and still is incredibly kind and helpful from when I first inquired about moving in, through the application process, and with any issues/questions I have now.
Most people are friendly, the property is kept very clean, and I have felt very safe living here since day one. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for their first apartment!

Moved in right before COVID hit and I love it here. It’s super conveniently located, landlord is easy to get a hold of if there’s an issue, very reasonably priced, and super comfy. I have a studio loft and I genuinely adore it. While I haven’t really been able to meet my neighbors thanks to the virus, the few I’ve seen are friendly and the surrounding area is gorgeous. They keep the place well-plowed and salted, which as someone who used to live up in the mountains is a big plus!

complaint is having to pay rent via check and not online, but they are currently working on getting that up and running, so I don’t mind too much!! Cheryl has been and continues to be a wonderful person to ask questions and is super approachable.

They have amazing staff, very polite and nice people are working in leasing office. I never had any issue with apartment, every thing was in good condition and I got my whole security deposit when I moved out. They are honest and loyal to your security deposit; in contrary to other places who are looking for some excuse to not return the security money .

Worst place I’ve lived

They treat you like absolute garbage here, not only that but there is a mold and bug issue here.
I’ve had a consistent problem with spiders and beetles.
I’ve had mold issues in not one but two of the apartments here. We had to be moved because it ate threw the wall. Other tenants have told me the same.
Washer and dryers are constantly not working or washing the clothes right.
Police are always here for issues with drugs or domestic violence.
You have to pay to throw garbage away which is the ...
dumbest thing on the planet for how much you’re paying here.
These are the worst apartments on the street and they think they’re one of the higher end ones. Management and maintenance are rude beyond belief. Landlord lives in New York and contacting them is out of the question.
Find some where else to live. Anywhere else to live. I’m writing this because I’m finally free!

We lived here for a couple years. There were a few minor issues such as fights in the parking lot, and my husband never having a parking spot when he came home from work. My major issue was with the mold and basically snow coming into our windows and slider in the winter. We complained multiple times about this and was told by maintenance nothing would be done about the mold. They offered to cover our windows and DOOR with plastic. Ya because we all want plastic on our door. The walls in the ...
bathroom were so soft that we could not even hang a towel rack. All windows, doors and entire bathroom had to be cleaned almost daily to keep mold away. We even switched apartment in hopes that there would be less mold in a different apartment, well it was worse! So my husband and I began looking for another place to live. During this time I was pregnant and when my child was born he was in the ICU with lung problems. I was paranoid about him sleeping in a place filled with mold so we really became serious about getting out and found a great place for our family. We talked to Sheryl in the office and she assured us we could break our lease and she pulls out a list of people who are waiting for first floor apartments.She even told us she grew up in the area we were moving too and we will love it there. So we moved a coujple weeks later and now they want our deposit from a place we were in a month and had NO damage and rent for a month we were not living there and they took us to court. They won because we failed to call the heath department. We even had pictures of the mold and snow inside the windows. Just don t do it, you won't be happy. I didn't even want to give it one star

I hate living here. The neighbors are scary and rude. The walls of my unit are paper thin and everything from other apartments can be heard. This one jerk in my building blasts loud music at all times of the day and night and it is totally killing my nerves. The windows are not insulated and they drip water in whenever it rains.
