Ants!! Beware!!
January 2, 2023BEWARE! Don’t move here if you don’t want to deal with ANTS!! We just moved in at the beginning of December and it’s been a nightmare. We immediately reported sightings of ants in our unit from day one. Unfortunately we moved from out of state and weren’t able to see the specific unit prior to moving in otherwise this would have been a huge red flag and caused us to turn the other way. The infestation has gotten worse over the month we’ve been here, we’ve had pest control come out twice and the ...last time they told us we would need to handle it ourselves moving forward with bait traps. So what are we paying luxury apartment rent for?! Let alone pest control?! We’ve kept the unit very tidy, we habitually clean every 2-3 days but these ants literally pop up everywhere, from our bathtub, the walls, the dishwasher, and our sinks. We’ve even had to resort to throwing out tons of food from the pantry and even eating outside of the apartment entirely. We cooperated with property management in providing documentation for a transfer request to a new unit, including photos, video footage, and track records of us reporting the issue. Despite all of our documentation the request was denied by corporate and instead we would have to pay an additional $500 to transfer units or the fee to break our lease which is two times the rent. Our experience has been FAR from acceptable, especially considering the amount we are paying to live here, let alone a whole other list of issues with this complex.
