management sucks
May 22, 2025My A/C stopped working 4–5 times over 2 years. Instead of replacing it, they just kept adding refrigerant due to a leak. The utility closet (locked to residents) holds the water heater, which burst in March. My apartment flooded with 2 inches of water. I had to just watch until maintenance came. No one was in the office. My place was unlivable—soaked carpet, drywall, and I work from home with 2 dogs. Luckily, we had someone to stay with—no thanks to River Ridge. They offered nothing. When I asked ...for a temp unit, they tried to get me to sign a whole new lease. No hotel, no rent break—just told to go through renters insurance. I’m not paying insurance to house me—I pay them for damages. I pay River Ridge to live here. I got zero answers about when I could return. I called daily, emailed, even went in person. They kept saying they needed a higher-up, yet still gave no updates. It started affecting my job. Only Rob from maintenance helped. He answered questions, called vendors in front of me, and gave me his number. He’s the only reason this place functions. After that, I gave my 60-day notice. Now it’s May '25. I move out next week. I told Jessica I’d be out of town and could drop keys early or attend a walk-through. I chose a walk-through. I’ve called and emailed four times—nothing. Tiffany said twice she’d call back with a time. She never did. At this rate, my walk-through will never be scheduled—just like everything else around here.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Terrible Experience - Ants
July 5, 2018I lived at River Ridge for 30 weeks. During that time, I submitted 21 maintenance requests. Our biggest issue and concern was ants. I submitted the first maintenance request for ants on April 2, and we were still dealing with ants when we moved out on June 23, around two and a half months later. It does not take that long to get rid of ants. Having ants in the kitchen is disgusting as that is where we prepare food and our food is stored. We had to throw out quite a bit of food that ants had ...gotten into, which is very frustrating. And, as we continued to clean the windowsills and floors, we kept finding live and dead ants. It is completely disgusting and also a health hazard. I submitted a maintenance request on Monday, 5/28 (after several previous requests), and in that case, no one came to my apartment until 6/8 (and that was the first time an actual exterminator came - over two months after the issue started). I am just astonished at how this situation has been handled and how ants in my kitchen wasn't taken more seriously to get resolved, especially when the issue started because they spread untreated mulch outside buildings, so it wasn't our fault.Property Manager Responded

Great place outside of city madness
September 27, 2015Apartments are great and affordable with modern updates and appliances. Constant maintenance workers to help with any problems on call or within 24 hours. Friendly staff-- when I forgot my key at work they lent me another so I didn't have to go all the way back to work! Walking distance to a couple of great bars and chipotle! Great Apartment
September 23, 2015I've lived at River Ridge for a year. The best apartment I've ever lived in, albeit a little pricey. Facing the back of a restaurant was annoying initially with trash trucks sometimes emptying dumpster in the middle of the night, but I've gotten used to that. Office staff and maintenance are great. They plan events for residents every month, usually at a nearby restaurant with free appetizers and/or pizza. Parking has been a pain lately with very few empty apartments. Getting back later in ...the evening can result in having to park a building or two away, maybe further.
