I toured Riverhouse Creekside in December of 2025 as my lease was ending at the end of February 2026 and fell in love with the amenities and floor plan of the model unit. Upon touring they let me know they were having a promo for 12 weeks free which enhanced my enthusiasm to apply for an apartment. I was approved but upon signing the lease, I realized my 12 weeks free were not mentioned in the lease or payment arrangements. I emailed the complex for clarification to which they responded that the ...
promo was only for residents moving in before the New Year, which they had not stated when I toured with them. I mentioned how we had discussed my move in date and even my plan to use the free weeks to prorate my overall monthly rent for the year and we came to an agreement for 8 weeks free as a compromise. So far, so good, right? Come move in day, 02/13 I had to work so I didn’t get my keys until 5:30pm, the office closed at 6pm. (Context only) So upon retrieving my keys I head inside and inspect the unit, getting my photos and commenting on my “unit condition form”. A couple things of note to begin…..the cleaning crew/maintenance team or painters were not paying attention or were just lazy as there are literal bandaids painted onto shelves, hairs laminated on my shower walls, and the washer and dryer machines were filthy. I spent the night cleaning the appliances and trying to remove gunk and hair from my new home. Come 3am I’m exhausted and ready for bed. Now I had noticed some warping in the paint on the ceiling of my unit in my bedroom but just associated it to another lazy paint job in the apartment. However, as I was readying myself to finally sleep. I noticed droplets of liquid on my pillow…which is situated under where the poor paint job was. The warping was now a bubble that was leaking water onto my bed. Best part? I live on the 2nd floor, there is another unit above mine. Disgusted….needless to say, I slept elsewhere and washed my bedding. (Other issues persist like the outer building gate always malfunctioning and making it hard to enter the building and parking spots are a gamble later at night. Which I specifically asked about when I toured and was advised of “more than enough parking”.) Now to the meat of the issue: A maintenance request was put in the same night, at 3am for the leaking ceiling. A call and visit were made the next day, after I insisted that the problem be looked at and not overlooked due to the weekend as suggested by the maintena

I highly recommend avoiding these apartments. They are poorly made and lack proper insulation in both the ceiling and the walls. You can loudly hear footsteps coming from your upstairs neighbors as well as from cars/motorcycles from the street. It wakes me up multiple times a week after just moving her less than a week ago. Another issue is the parking is insufficient. I often need to park at the very back of the complex while my apartment is in the front. Save your money and your sanity. ...

Picking up my keys was quick and easy. The office staff is very friendly. The apartment itself was clean upon move in, but the bathtub was still pretty gross from the previous resident. That is the one complaint I have, everything else is perfect

Best apartments in the Creekside Area!

Started looking for apartments in February of 2024 when I had to move out from SA to NB for work purposes. I looked the nearby apartments (Landings, Avenues and Berkshire) and overall, these apartments were the most pretty in comparison to the others. The pool, club area, and surroundings are really nice for the price (1087 for the 585 sq ft 1 bedroom apartment in comparison to Berkshire [which honestly is the second best] that was over 1300 - 1400 base rent). Something that people may be ...
disappointed is that sometimes the gates malfunction (so they keep it open), the bathroom of the pool is dirty, and one of the gas grills do not work. If you can pass that, the apartment is really good. Maintenance is really fast (1-3 days they fix whatever issue you may have), Appliances (fridge, microwave, washer, dryer, stove, dishwasher) are new tech (whirlpool and LG) and gray colored metal, not the black metallic horrible looking. This makes it look 10x more luxurious. As for the 585 sqft apartment, if you are a one person looking for an apartment and you do not expect too many visits, this apartment is really good for you and for the price. One thing that may be weird is the setup of the living room as your bedroom door does not allow your couch to be against the wall. If you manage to find a couch that can be placed in the middle of the living room, you should be fine. Overall I really liked my experience living in Riverhaus, it has walk-distance restaurants, cinemas, shopping, a hospital, and even one of the biggest gas stations in Texas (Buc-cees). Even if you don't like it, as of February of 2025, the early termination fee is WAY more affordable than any other apartments that I have lived in (in comparison to San Antonio Northwest Area). In comparison to the other reviews (that the earliest one is of 2023) I would say that the apartments probably changed, and they have turned better. Not Worth the Headaches

Overall living here was decent. The pool is great and the units are fine. The gate however is frequently broken for days at a time causing issues coming in and out of the complex. But the real issue lies with the management team not being able to do their jobs well. I had multiple emails “lost” throughout my time living here which is fine things happen. But when the community manager, Molly, can not update resident info in a timely manner so residents get accused of having unauthorized pets or ...
residents having to forward an email to her that she replied to, that’s a problem. When Molly doesn’t update resident information it makes other members of staff look bad because they rely on information from her. On top of all that, a week after moving out I get a call asking where I left our apartment keys which is concerning because I handed them directly to Jasper who is the assistant community manager. There’s some obvious changes that need to be made for things to run smoother for residents and staff members. I would be sure to keep records of everything so their disorganization doesn’t affect you too much. Be weary of living here due to management.

Very messy complex, something is always broken, they have a mice problem, and they have ridiculous hidden fees. Expect to pay $500 at move out after they keep your security deposit.

My new apartment is really nice I was looking for a safe and friendly community to make my home and I'm very pleased with this place in New Braunfels!! The location is very nice. When moving in, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I'm glad I chose this area to stay.
