MOLD AND HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT

I would strongly advise anyone considering moving to Riverstone Apartment Complex to think twice.
A few months after moving in, I started becoming incredibly ill and spent thousands of dollars in medical bills trying to figure out what was wrong. After extensive testing with lack of answers, I discovered mold in my apartment. I notified the office immediately as well as HSL properties, and that was 2 weeks ago and I still have not gotten ANY information from them on next steps. I am STILL PAYING ...
RENT AND NOT STAYING THERE.
My physician has since told me that my bloodwork does correlate with mycotoxin exposure, and the cause is most likely the mold. I am now getting treatment.
I discovered the mold almost two weeks ago, including in my window frame and HVAC system. I conducted my own at-home mold tests and almost every room in the house was positive. I immediately notified management with photos and details. Since then, I have been forced to leave the apartment and stay in a hotel, which has cost me a significant amount of money. The most concerning part is that my symptoms have significantly decreased since leaving the apartment, which strongly suggests the environment was affecting my health.
Management did have an air quality test conducted about 10 days ago, but despite asking for the results multiple times, I have been completely ignored. I cannot even get a basic response or plan of action from management while I continue to lose money from hotel expenses, medical bills, and moving costs AND I am still paying rent.
The communication from management at this complex is terrible. They simply do not respond.
This is not the first time I have experienced this issue with management ignoring concerns. My neighbors regularly lock their dogs on their patio for hours, where they bark nonstop and even use the patio as a bathroom and the smell lingers up to my windows. I emailed the office THREE separate times because I was being woken up at 6 AM by my downstairs neighbor’s dog barking outside on the patio for hours at a time. Management never responded to me at all.
Between the health issues, mold exposure, thousands of dollars in expenses, and complete lack of communication, my experience here has been extremely frustrating and costly. The complex also always smells like marijuana.
Horrible management, poor communication, and a very disappointing place to live.

I have lived here now for a full year and renewed my lease for another year and will very most likely renew beyond that. The apartments itself is in a great location. Centrally located in Tucson so you do not have to travel far. The office staff is great. When I pay the rent they are always very friendly and its hassle free. I have only had to place two minor work orders in the apartment for maintenance to come in and fix a garbage disposal and a leaky tub faucet. (At separate times)Both ...
times they put in for the work order and the issue was addressed. Was fixed and completed in a very reasonable time. Turned out that is was not a "big fix after all" had the work completed within five minutes for the faucet. Great Job, maintenance. Very knowledgeable group of people they have working for them. There are two things that I really enjoy here. If you live in a back building, you have a great view of the Catalina Mountains and Pantano Wash. You never see such a great view from inside the city anymore but its a clear shot from the apartments. Second, I have to have my A/C. I never been able to get used the the desert heat but my A/C is self controlled, individual thermostats, so you can run A/C all year around if wanted. But my A/C unit works so good, I sometimes get too cold, which is fine by me because I would rather be cold than hot. Probably is the best working A/C unit I have ever seen in my life. And the electric bill is very reasonable considering how much I run it every day. This is a most definite A+. The groundskeepers keep the landscape very well groomed and managed. Its nice to see green grass all the time. I never have used the pools but there are two of them here and I always walk by them and they are very clean. There is security that patrols the property parking lots at night and I have never had a problem with safety. Extremely well lit areas around the buildings itself and the front door entry way outside is always lit up for safety. If you have your choices of a new apartment to call home, I would highly recommend that you pick Riverstone Apartments first. We have been living here a few months now and have been pleasantly surprised by this place. It's reasonably priced, quiet, and everyone has been very friendly neighbors and staff included. I personly enjoy the location next to the bike path behind the complex and my roommate gushes about the AC quality. Great place for pet owners and small families.

This place is horrible. They never fix anything when it is broken. My dishwasher was broken many times and everytime they fixed it it was never fixed properly. When I moved out I expressed my concerns with my refund as they have taken a charge out of it. I told them to send me an itemized statement of all my Bill's and they decline to do so without me coming in to the office. Andrea disconnected the line on me after I asked for a manager. The Riverstone Apartments are my kind of place to live, the staff is friendly and they take care of my concerns with a smile. I'm considering asking for free rent just to see how long those smiles last but I think that might be pushing it. But even without the free rent, I'm happy to be living here! :-)

Riverstone Apartments is a great place to live. The staff are friendly, They have swimming pools that are nice for the summer. Also it is close by the east area. And it's easy to get to town. I love living in my one bedroom apartment it's cozy and It has a nice patio.
