We pay a significant amount to live in this community, and it is marketed as a safe, high\-quality place to call home. Based on the price and how it is presented, you would expect a certain level of security, care, and professionalism. Unfortunately, my experience has been the complete opposite.

anxiety, and my mental health has deteriorated significantly. My doctor has documented the impact this has had on me and even recommended I seek legal counsel because of the severity of my condition.
What has been most disappointing is not just the burglary itself, but the complete lack of compassion and support from management afterward.
This property has had ongoing mailbox break\
-ins and other security concerns, yet when I asked for help after my burglary—including being released from my lease because I no longer feel safe—I was denied. Instead of working with me during one of the most traumatic experiences of my life, management seemed focused on finding reasons to say no.
I even provided a letter from my doctor explaining how the burglary has affected my mental health and why remaining here is harmful to my well being. Rather than showing empathy, it felt like they searched for an excuse to dismiss it.
For the amount we pay to live here, you would expect management to take resident safety seriously and to support tenants during situations like this\. Instead, it feels like the image they present does not match the reality of living here.
No one should have to beg to leave a place where they no longer feel safe. I am effectively trapped in a lease at a property where I constantly fear for my safety\. Every noise at night wakes me up. I have spent countless nights unable to sleep because I no longer feel secure in my own home.
I understand that no apartment community can prevent every crime, but how management responds afterward says everything about how they value their residents. In my experience, there has been very little compassion, flexibility, or willingness to help someone who has experienced a traumatic crime while living here.
