The security gate will stop all cars, yes, but you can get inside the complex by walking aloneside the security gate, or the side openings ,and no one will stop you. The place is wide open to pedestrians. That why there has been bikes theft and vandalism, but the worst is the management. The bad faces, arrogance, and incompetence of the top management is ...outstanding. It took me three month of fighting the manager to change a broken diswaher. I had to stop paying rent to get the issue resolved. The carpets are poorly installed, and will unravel in a year, and then, you will be charged $150, deducted from you security deposit. Need to use the business center? Forget it. The computers will frustrate you, the copy machine never have paper, and to send it a fax…, well, no line. I hope you don't get the same mistake I did, and find a better place to live. I don't know about other Milton properties, but this one definitely did not fulfilled the mision of the builder. July 29, 2015Miami is an expensive city to live in. The amount of rent paid doesn't seem to ever balance out by the living conditions. Pay too little and your in a bad part of town pay too much and well... you know the rest. Royal Palms is one of those areas that has taken me some time to appreciate. There are 2 elementary schools with 5 minutes of the complex, several restaurants and businesses withing a short walk, about 3 walmarts and a few grocery stores. They have quick access to the 826 and 836 ...expressways which can help you get where you need to go quickly, and is also within a short distance to 3 malls. Dolphin, international, and MOA. The apapartment's themselves are pretty small but you have a laundry room on each floor, gated parking, roving security, a business center, pool, gym, and a party gazebo you can reserve for parties which include quick access to the childrens playground and the afore mentioned pool. They even have a cleaning staff which maintains the buildings and the grounds. The property owners also allow you to pay online and reserve any maintenance thought the website. Here are some of the cons, when people move in, 8 floors are regulated to the use of a single elevator, this is combersome when your hands are full or coming home from work and are waiting with other occupants. The apartments don't have any fixed lighting with the exception of restrooms, kitchen, and enterance/dinning area. Patios, bedrooms and living rooms may need a standing lamp. The laundry rooms are 1.50 per load to wash, and an additional 1.50 to dry. The money is placed on laundry cards refilled at machines by the main office. Sometimes you will walk to the management office to have them send someone to fix something, and the person never comes. However this does not always happen. The gym cardio machines are not all workibg well, some are obviously used and the resistance is worn out, and finally, visitors must park on the very top floor of the parking garage, making your guest have to walk to the farther buildings.
