Cool Place To Live
May 16, 2023I have enjoyed my time at Shelby. The very little interaction i've had with staff (bc I never had many issues) -- was productive and they were receptive and responsive. Great location to highways and downtown Fort Worth. The complex is well kept -- I see groundsmen every morning working, picking up litter, mowing, etc. They do a great job keeping up with the trash -- rarely smelly in the hallways. The amenities are simple -- the gym could use a few more machines, but they are clean. The complex ...feels safe -- the gate is open during the day and closes at 5 pm. The community is chill -- a lot of families/children though. My dislikes are the thin walls and floors -- this is not management's fault. If your upstairs neighbor is ignorant, you may have noise issues but overall it's fairly quiet. Parking is annoying but not absurd -- grocery shopping can be a challenge with limited spots near actual unit. Overall, Shelby is clean, safe, and modern -- I recommend.Property Manager Responded

I Love Living Here
July 21, 2021Edit: I've been here for a little over a month now and my previous review stills stands. I love it here and this is the nicest place I ever lived! I just wanted to add that the Shelby recently hired a new employee, Eric, who couldn't do a better job (though he would beg to differ). True enough, he's new, so that means there are technical, industry-specific things he'll need to learn. However, what he came in already knowing is something that's much more difficult to learn: people and ...relationships. From the very first day I met him, despite his stress and overwhelm, he made interacting with me a clear priority and has always remained consistent. As happy as I was with Allison and Eddy, I'm surprised to realize that Eric was a piece that was missing. I sure hope he stays for a while. I have recently secured a new position that has pulled me out of poverty. Before this, I had to live places I could more easily afford and, unfortunately, I had to make major sacrifices in quality of life. One thing I told myself was that when I moved, wherever that happened to be, I HAD to move somewhere that had excellent customer service. And let me tell you, besides the beauty of the property itself, it was Allison, Eddy, and Morgan who really won me over. I could live anywhere I wanted to now and toured several other properties "just in case," but I kept coming back to the Shelby because that's where my heart was. The energy was right and I do ultimately feel that I made the right decision. My move-in date is rapidly approaching and I can't wait to call The Shelby at Northside my new home!Property Manager Responded

Nightmare Come True
June 10, 2021• The day of the tour, tour guide was 30 minutes late. • They failed to get back to us regarding if we had been approved. Called max 20 times in 2 days and no call back, nor no email back. • The day of our tour we got the bare minimum on information regarding the apartment. We didn’t know we needed insurance, electricity hooked up to the apartment, etc. Failed at communicating what was needed for the apartment. Assumed we knew what they had to offer and what was expected. • On the day of signing ...our lease, they changed the amount of our rent without telling us so we had to travel all the way back to where we came from. • Very unprofessional!!! I can not stress this enough! They failed to do the very job they signed up to do! Very upset with this apartment complex as I was very excited to live here but turned into a nightmare. Do Not Rent Here
April 9, 2021The carpet in the hallways are disgusting and nobody will do anything about it. The amenities are always closed like the game room and the computer room are locked after 5PM. I don’t find the staff to be helpful at all. They harass you about renter’s insurance constantly but when you complain about something they drag their feet getting work orders completed. They took the track lighting out of the kitchen and now the apartments look basic instead of luxury. The gate is always broken and the key ...fobs never work to open the doors. You can find somewhere way better than this dump to live in. Oh and don’t forget valet trash comes around whenever they feel like it without notification. This place is not safe!
November 4, 2020I’ve been living here for a year now and already had two things stolen from me the first day pull the TV out of my car and now today Someone stole my kids bike my wives and I I’m very sad it was my daughters present and basically it was our families fun times we used bikes for going to the park and I having a good time and now we don’t have any bikes please be careful if you’re moving here!
