Horrible Customer Service
June 1, 2024Went in for a tour, the whole office smelled strongly of pot. The employee was talking on her cell phone the entire time, like we weren’t even there. At one point she cut me off when I was asking a question to talk on her cell phone. November 22, 2017The lease on my former place of residence ran out. Deciding not to renew, I found myself looking for another place to reside. I contemplated moving to Downtown Detroit, where a colleague had recently moved, and also looked at suburban communities. Having lived in Oakland County for over 30 years, I contemplated moving back. I also looked at a large, recently constructed apartment complex in Macomb County. In hindsight, my decision to move to Sherwood Heights Apartments and Townhomes was sealed ...with a simple phone call. The decision was made even though I had never seen a model apartment or set foot on the premises. After doing a cursory review of Sherwood Heights on the internet, I called the office and spoke with Gina. In this age of “I’m busy, and I don’t have time to talk with you” I was impressed with the kindness extended to me, and the interest shown in helping me decide if Sherwood Heights would be the right fit for my lifestyle. I got off the phone asking myself, “Could this really be true? Here is a person working with the public, and seemingly happy in providing service.” Yes, it was true, and as the manager of the complex Gina’s spirit of excellence and service permeates the facility. The grounds of the complex are spotless. In my four months of first touring Sherwood Heights, and later moving there, I had to deliberately look before spotting a single piece of paper on the grounds. Upon moving in, I observed that my apartment was cleaned spotless. Even the basement was cleaned to perfection. I am happy to report that as a tenant “bound” by a lease, Gina’s professionalism has not diminished in the least. While she is diligent to protect (manage) the interests of the property owner, she has been equally diligent in her efforts to ensure that my rental experience is a pleasurable one. Gina seems acutely aware that whether one is buying or renting, “home” is “home”. Regarding my actual apartment unit, the square footage is excellent. The degree of storage is amazing. The complex is very quiet. I have yet to hear loud music “bumping” out of a person’s car, or loud noise of any kind. My neighbors are friendly, but are not in any way intrusive. I have found Sherwood Heights Apartments and Townhomes to be a quiet oasis in the heart of the city. Without equivocation, I highly recommend the complex.Property Manager Responded
