DON’T MOVE HERE
November 15, 2022I lived here for two years and when I tell you I counted down the days until my lease was up. The rent was raised three times in two years with no noticeable updates to the building or its common spaces and it got increasingly disruptive with tenants who made noise all day and all night, which the management did nothing about. They are good for reneging on lease terms too. It seems they only care about making money rather than making it a peaceful place to live. July 14, 2017The walls are paper thin my neighbor is a nightmare she stomps & bumps & always have to move furniture at 1 or 2 in the morning I get up at 4am to get ready for work if it's not her it's the light rail that the realtor anothony told me would be a whisper you won't notice it he said. The owner cares so much he put noise canceling what u may call it in the walls & blah blah blah bull crap don't buy into it they are uncaring disorganized the place is dirty & smelly I'm counting down to the end of my ...lease can't wait to move. In construction we utilized what is called resilient channels which is the best insulation one can use, and many developers don't insulate as we have. It is unfortunate that one of your neighbors is moving furniture at 1,2 am. We are happy to address any concerns you have and speak to the potential tenants in question. Cool Loft feels like Brooklyn
May 27, 2016Silklofts is a really cool place with exposed brick and beams. Its really beautiful. The management company and staff are attentive and there is a pizza oven and BBQ's for residents use. Loving where I live
May 26, 2016I have lived at the beautiful Silk Lofts for about a year and a half and it just keeps getting better. Management, real estate team, the owner, etc. are all personable people who are committed to making you feel at home from start to finish -- the process from choosing the best space, the move-in, on-site management, great neighbors, etc. Not to mention the super dope courtyard that has a number of grills and a pizza oven. If you are looking for luxury with a lofty feel, state-of-the art ...appliances, SPACE, easy and close commute to NYC, and measurable costs then Silk Lofts of Bayonne is definitely a WIN. HORRIBLE, beware, stay away is all I can say
April 28, 2016Any 5 star review for this place is fake. I lived there for 1 year and we had numerous issues, ranging from our car broken into, i guess comes with that area, centipedes in the unit, high pseg bills, I am only writing this in hopes it helps deter others from making the mistake we did. much better options out there, go with those, dont be fooled by the nice old look of the building. Nickel and dime you to death and lie to your face
January 16, 2016Add to your advertised rent a move in fee, a non refundable pet fee, a monthly fee for the "amenities", a monthly fee for each pet, $100 per parking space, $25 for each day the rent is late, pay monthly for using the AC/Heat units on top of your already high electricity bill, and then they won't pay for minor maintenance of the appliances they provide (light in the refrigerator? $7. Filter replacement in the refrigerator? $50). Good luck changing your light bulbs in your 12 foot high ceilings. ...They won't help you with that either. Management is shady, and frankly it disgusts me. Promises made on move in were broken, specifically that there would be someone at the front desk during the day - there has never been anyone at the desk in the year and a half I have lived here. And they wrote in the lease that no large aggressive breeds would be allowed in the building, yet the super has a pitbull and there are a lot of big dogs, sometimes off-leash, and they do NOTHING about it. I asked twice if they would send an email just reminding tenants to leash their large dogs (!!) and they didn't even do that. Bottom line, they lie to you, treat you like a dollar sign, and then expect you to "LOVE where you live". I'll love it when I leave.Property Manager Responded
July 31, 2017We try and create a place where people can Love where they live. Unfortunately, it appears that you had a bad experience. With respect to addressing your complaints, for clarity, we do not charge for changing lightbulbs and we do change filters in the refrigerator for free. With respect to charging late fees, it appears that you have been late on your rent, and were charged late fees per your lease. We never want to charge a tenant late fees, however, we do require tenants to pay their rent on time. Lastly, we do send out notices to residents whenever they break the rules, including if a dog is off leash. Our goal is always to create a good environment and good value for tenants, and for the most part we believe we accomplish that. Silklofts Management

Great Community Feel
July 20, 2015I truly like the amenities and the friendliness of the staff and neighbors. There's a unique feeling of belonging to this up and coming area. The apartment is located close to the NJ Light Rail which makes access to Manhattan a breeze. The only area for improvement would be to add a little more personality into the application process. It feels like the documents and process is designed for very young renters building credit. All in all the process is easy and the staff responsive.
