Poor Management vs. Lousy Neighbors
December 10, 2020I would like to start this review by saying my mom and brother are the ones living at Somerset, they live in a downstairs apartment, they moved in mid-September to be closer to me and my one year old daughter. The same day they moved in the neighbors upstairs were opening and closing the patio door repeatedly, and throwing trash over the balcony where my daughter was trying to run around. It only got worse from there. My mom has complained numerous times (4 to be exact) and nothing has been done ...except "verbal warnings". The people upstairs do not control their many kids, constantly running around clear up until 2am, banging on things, pounding on the floor, slamming the patio door, yelling and much more. After the supposed verbal warnings it only got worse, I assume because they were angry over the complaints, but my mom works from home and has to hear it every single day ALL day. As I stated I am her daughter, no I do not live here but I'm TIRED of seeing my mom and brother struggle and lose sleep over these inconsiderate neighbors and poor management not thinking of their other tenants. I can't even send my daughter to her grandma's house because she is unable to sleep there due to the noise (AGAIN up until 2am). In theory, the apartments are nice, and affordable, which is the only thing keeping me from giving this place a 1-star. But if you want anything done by management, it simply won't happen, they don't care. I'm writing this on behalf of my om because she doesn't want to be rude or insensitive, but I personally am over it.
