  • Decline since ownership change

    It’s definitely declined amenity and maintenance wise since the ownership of the apartments changed, but the price is still the same if not abit higher. Lived here for about 5 years and idk if I’ll make it 6. There was a period of time all the laundry facilities were down for 6+ months without repair and another time only 1 gate to the pool was usable since they refused to bring the other gates up to code and the city wouldn’t allow the apartments to use them.

  • THE BEST!!

    BEST customer service and apartment complex appearance by far!! After several weeks of looking at many places/areas, Southern Oaks was the only one worth considering. Good online descriptions and reviews were confirmed immediately upon my arrival. Brenda is absolutely incredible…kind, funny, sweet, personable, professional, and beyond helpful. Then Jenn met with us on our second visit and was wonderful too. On my third visit, Brenda warmly greeted me upon my return and wrapped everything up with ...
    the application process (staying 30 minutes past closing). We will hopefully be approved tomorrow and move in this weekend. We are very appreciative and look forward to living there. The unit, grounds, and facilities are very nice and well maintained. Happy to give a most deserved 5-star review to Brenda, Jenn, and all the rest of the staff at Southern Oaks who care about this place and make it so pleasant for all those who live there.

    Came by for a walk in appt. Looking for something in the area soon. The ladies in the office are very friendly and didn’t give me a hard time for not having an appt ahead of time. Which seems to be a bother at other properties. Very reasonable for the location, looked well kept.

  • very nice community

    I've lived here for multiple years now - it's a great little community - very quiet, which is important to me. Definitely recommend these apartments. They are far better than any other apartments in this area. The location is convenient. The office staff are very friendly and nice whenever I go in the office. Maintence is very quick and knowledgable. I will definitely be staying for a while.

  • good apartments - good experience

    these apartments are way better than any apartments in this area - shelbi and kat in the office are so nice. the location is perfect - the apartment is nice - community is quiet - everybody pretty much keeps to themselves. landscaping always looks good - the gate is still broken but other than that, it's a great little community. maintenance is very good at their jobs - whenever antonio came for a work order he was knowledgeable and friendly - i havent had any issues at all - super great ...

    Been living here for 2 months now. Very surprised how quiet it is considering I live next to the pool. Super flexible lease terms from 3 - 13 months. Great service at the front desk, talk with Rolando he took great care of me. Really can't complain,apt stays cold without the a/c running all day. Perfect location, you can literally get to any store/restaurant you can think of in 3 mins. Highly recommend:)

  • HORRIBLE

    After multiple situations handled without professionalism, I felt compelled to express my distaste. I'm not sure who in particular is to blame, but this business is ran poorly without regard to tenants. For example our AC went out twice during the heat of the summer- maintenance claimed there was nothing they could do for "A COUPLE DAYS". In addition the dishwasher went out, and was unable to be fixed for months. It has also been confirmed by maintenance we have a rodent infestation but nothing ...
    has been done to combat the issue. Also our maintenance man is nice, and knowledgable- ultimately the company is at fault. I'm beyond disappointed by the complete disregard for common courtesy and concern for the safety of tenants

    I have lived in this complex for 3 years. It is a nice, quiet, complex with lots of trees and a beautiful pool. It is located close to public transportation, major highways, shopping, and great restaurants all within a two mile radius. There is a dedicated pet area, although there is lots of green space to walk your pets.

    Manager Glenda is an excellent people person who goes the extra steps to assist her clients. I am sorry to say she is soon retiring. The whole management staff are excellent people. The Apartments have doggie stations and a doggie park.
