This apartment is a steal as far as location and price. However, there are significant drawbacks associated with this complex. Let's start with the biggest problem with this property; you don't have your own water heater. This means that you "share" the hot water with 5 other apartments on your half of the building. So, taking a shower is always a battle between trying to not get scalded or frozen. All within the space of a few seconds. They advertise updated appliances and cabinets but that only
...applies to the kitchen, the bathrooms look to be original cabinets and they're rather rundown. The walls are incredibly thin, you can hear your neighbors talking, watching tv, listening to music etc. next door, underneath you, or above you, more so than you would expect in an apartment. Oh and if you're lucky enough to have someone live above you be prepared for some impressive noise when your neighbor walks from the living room to the kitchen. It sounds like they're going to come through the ceiling. Also, it seems that the bathrooms are "connected" between adjoining units so noise and smells come through the walls or vents like crazy. Office staff is usually very helpful, although there are a few who are just flat out unfriendly.
Basically, if you're an UNO student looking for reasonable rent close to campus this may be the place for you. If you're not, I'd highly recommend going elsewhere. I can promise I won't be recommending this apartment complex to any of my acquaintances.
