Today, I had a reservation for a room tour at 2:00 PM, but when I arrived, the office was closed. I called the office, and the staff member informed me that 2:00 PM was her lunchtime. I drove for 20 minutes to get to the apartment for the tour, but I ended up leaving without being able to see the room. I felt like I wasted my time. Additionally, the office worker did not apologize for this oversight, and their customer service was very rude.

So my husband and I moved into this place because as most people, we thought it's rent pricing was great in comparison to most communities in the area. We lived there for 2 years. In our time some of the pros were that they had an elevator (although it was out of order several times), its tennis court and gym. However, the cons were as follows: we had two separate periods of rats, roaches, broken screen doors, drug dealers, loud neighbors and the quality of the paint, carpets and doors. The worst ...
things we learned about this place were that 1. not all apartment communities insist on a 30-day notice prior to leaving, but this one does and if not provided you will pay 75% more on the month-to-month rate for whatever amount of days you will be stay prior to leaving. This of course is at the responsibility of the tenant and I realize this. However, we did pay a total 1,119 for 12 days, that we did not actually reside there. 2. If you have ever stayed in an apartment community, you know that they replace several things to fix the apartment before the new tenants. Things like carpets, countertops and window. Well that is normal and typically not charged to current tenants as they do that regardless. Also anything out of normal wear and tear (such as broken mirrors) are taken out of what you pay for the deposit. Well let me tell you, Springdale makes you pay for all the renovations that must be done prior to the new tenants coming in. They will mail these charges to you and if unpaid prior to 20 (yes 20) days, they send you to collection. All-in-all, we have lived at 3 communities prior to this place, and this place by far had the most hidden fees not told to you upfront. It is cheap-yes, however that money will be paid in some way shape or form here. Personally, I would not reside here it is not worth your money and/or stress.

I was pretty surprised with the type of amenities Springdale Villas provides. They have a pool, volleyball court, tennis court, sauna, and even a fitness room. It was more than what I would expect from apartments in this part of town. Rent was decent for Orange County and their pet policy is pretty fair. On a side note, the front office is super easy to work with and they take care of their tenants!

I generally love my apartment and the location is central to everything. The rent is okay and I have an amazing balcony. The apartments have nice big bathrooms and a good size kitchen. I am on the top floor so no noisy neighbors above me.

If you live on the outside units on the east end expect to hear a lot of the 24 hour car wash and karaoke at the veteran bar just next to the complex. Nice and quiet on the inside of the complex though. I pay $1110 for a 1 bedroom ($1070 if we didn't opt for the covered parking). Very nice large windows.
