IMPECCABLE SERVICE FROM OFFICE STAFF
August 31, 2023I am impressed by the tour I took. the office staff was very knowledgeable. Shazia and Tianna helped me understand all the requirements and gave me a tour of the model and amenities. I need to move in ASAP but there aint an aparment right now on top floor... They showed me where the bus stop would be and the building that will be available at later time. I told them if i didnt find anything by that day I definitely would apply. The service was outstanding and I would like to live somewhere ...knowing the staff cared about the residents! Way too much noise
December 31, 2021To start with some positives, I have not experienced a lot of the negatives that other reviews have mentioned. My building and apartment are clean, all of the appliances work perfectly, and the management was incredibly responsive to an issue I had with my mail box. The big downside however is that the other reviews here mentioning noise definitely aren't exaggerating. Paper thin walls and floors to the point that it cancels out all of the positives of this place. Your neighbor's conversations, ...TV/music, and movement are all completely audible. You really can't even hear yourself think at times. I've had to buy ear plugs and fans just to be able to sleep. If you really must live here, at least pick an apartment on the top floor so that you don't have to hear every single step from the people above you...Property Manager Responded

Terrible management

BY FAR WORST MANAGEMENT EVER!
June 21, 2021We are current tenants and we had applied for a 3 bedroom apartment 2 months ago and was accepted with our down payments in the matter of a week. We were supposed to be moving in by by JUNE 1st but due to the current tenants we were not able to move in. I can be understanding for certain situations. But what I am furious about is that the Management never came forth to us to let us know of the situation till a little less than week before move in date. We had our brother who came from New York ...with his 3 year old daughter to come live with us. We are forced to pay for a storage unit and live in a fire hazard where the apartment was not made for this many people to live in. We are going near the end of the month with still no acknowledgement of when or if we will get this apartment(Even though we were already accepted). We have set appointments with Kevin (Manager) and he has either failed to show up or communicate with us. The best way to talk to him is if you just show up and catch him unexpectedly. Best to save your money and time and look elsewhere. The apartment management does not care for the tenants problems that they caused or failed to warn about. They need to hire a new manager for the office here. If I could give a negative star that would of been my first choice.Property Manager Responded

Wonderful Experience!!
June 7, 2021I was looking to move out of New York, and was in town visiting my daughter, who is a renter in the complex. I have always liked the peace, quiet and friendliness of the tenants I met, and decided to make an appointment to take a tour. I completed an application and was approved for an apartment back in March 2021. I was set to move in June 1st, but unfortunately, my circumstances changed, and I was not able to move. Throughout the whole process, from the application to approval, the guidance, ...the respect, and the understanding I received, was top notch. I especially want to thank Jeiser, who answered every question and concern I had, with patience. He is so knowledgeable and worked with me every step of the way. I am currently working to resolve my circumstances, and will definitely be going back to Lerner Springfield Square. My apartment is waiting for me!!!Property Manager Responded

Noise so loud you’ll want to scream
February 12, 2020First of all DO NOT MOVE HERE . Paper thin walls, floors ceilings and windows. You can hear absolutely everything no matter what building you live in. And your neighbors are absolutely rude and don't care about their noise and why should they , they are paying a high amount to live here . If it wasn't for the insane noise this place would be amazing. The staff is amazing and so nice and helpful and so is the maintenance. Also, this place is not insulated at all . Hallow walls with no insulation ...at all. The team will reply and say they will do something but they will absolutely never change the noise issue so don't believe it. There's absolutely nothing they can do! They would rather keep a tenant who's pushing everyone out than to get rid of the problem. Parents let their kids scream at the top of their lungs in the hallways. The hallways linger you can hear full conversations and everyone can hear your conversations no matter what room your in. I can hear the entry way door to the building open from any floor. The only thing that would make this place be worth living here is if they had cement floors and better insulated walls. I'm guessing they won't do this because it's a way they can save money, and just have their residents suffer from noise trauma. Best way to avoid all this is to not move here ! But if you love not being able to sleep or getting waken up to insanely massive amounts of noise and sound feel free to welcome yourself to Lerner Springfield Square. Best thing about this place is how kind and nice the staff are especially Shazia she tries all she can to do for her residents.Property Manager Responded

ROACHES/TRAIN BEHIND COMPLEX
January 17, 2019I will make this short and sweet!There is a train behind the complex that wakes you up at 5:45am. This place has ROACHES, period. Its an old complex and its hard to battle the issue unless each unit is rehabbed and sealed accordingly. You will be pissed if you sign a lease here. The neighbors keep to themselves no drama, just ROACHES!! The first 7 days were fine until the roaches began emerging. We kill on average about 2-3 a day if we spot them. We were able to seal up the bathroom and ...haven't seen anything since in the bathroom, but they still get in from under the front door!! We also sealed all the vents with mesh around the entire place and caulked any openings we could see. Tried sealing the front door too. DON'T MOVE HERE UNLESS YOU ARE COOL WITH ROACHES! Poor management
December 22, 2018i highly do not recommend anyone to lease an apartment for them I’ve been so many issues with them. First thing i used to live in an apartment where there was a laundry room right under my apartment so after they closed roaches star coming through my the kitchen sink the bathroom i complained about it soooo many time they did nothing but kept on sending the pets control to my apartment to spray it was a disaster until one i had enough i reached out to their headquarters to come up with a solution ...for my continuous issue their corporate was able to let me move to another apartment, but at a different building I signed the lease for the new that actually supposed to be new Yes we did our tour but you really don’t inspect the apartment when you go on a tour by the day I’m supposed move in took the keys to the apartment put the key in for the door they key just turning the lock it’s broken walked in the AC unite was soooo loud there was no filter on it at all Old dirty filter they were on the floor. There was mold al round the washer and dryer it’s disgusting!! The oven was not even clean the dish washer was broken something was hanging out of it. And this was supposed to be a new!!! Apartment so heads up people I had to get their headquarters involved again because i can’t put up with shady people it’s like here’s another apartment just shut up take and i got the Virginia housing Authority involved also to show them how shady they are. Dangerous Place To Live
November 18, 2018This place is terrifying. Multiple situations involving police (including a stabbing). Even after this incident they still have not installed FOB system that they said would be up and running 4 months ago. Dirty, loud, and smells. Terrible General Manager
April 6, 2018I lived at Springfield Square for a couple of years over a year ago and found the General Manager to be unreasonable, mean, and condescending. I think he felt superior to his tenants and did make you feel welcome or that you deserved to be treated like a customer should be treated. He has terrible or non-existent customer service skills. Outstanding Community
August 28, 2017My husband and I moved here a month ago and it's been nothing short of an excellent experience. Coming from a horrible apartment situation, the management staff has really made us feel cared for and heard. When we communicated what we wanted, they went above and beyond our expectations to really make us feel welcomed and at home. Jose and the rest of the office staff are exceptional! All maintenance requests we had were resolved very quickly, and Mr. Keith and his team are extremely friendly ...and helpful. We really appreciate that the management team is on top of keeping the community clean. We regularly see workers cleaning the common areas, building lobbies, etc as well as doing miscellaneous routine maintenance like repainting the parking lots and picnic tables.
